If I am not wrong , JASO MB is the latest spec for wet clutch. It is ok to use any of two.

Please don't try Jaso MB on motorcycle, it might cause clutch slipped. It has friction modifier content, unless your bike spec mentioned that u can use MB.

Hi guys, do u all use torque wrench to tighten back the engine oil drain nut according to the manual specific Nm for the nut?? And where to get the oil filter wrench???

unless u have an absolutely well calibrated high-end torque wrench, i suggest avoid doing so. it is so easy to strip drain plugs. just do it by feel and make sure use a new washer. start engine, if leak, tighten lor. personally small bolts and drain plugs i do it by feel. only large fittings like axles then i use torque wrench.

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

Oil filter wrench, get the cup from ah boy. About the torque, hand tighten then use the wrench and turn a little. If still leaking, loosen then tighten again.

I dont have a washer. :faint:

The aluminum very soft so dont over tighten.

Hi, I came across an item called liquivac. Supposedly it sucks oil from the dipstick side and you can pour in the fresh oil after that. You can google it if interested. But its not very cheap thou.

Not as good as it sounds.

You'll have the oil soaked tubing to keep, the bottle will invariably need to be wiped down. The amount of oil removed depends where you are able to position of the tube opening in the sump, there will be more residual oil compared to draining.

It's good if the drain point is low or inaccessible like in boats.

For low quantities and where draining is not an issue, draining is best and free. I cut off the side of an old oil bottle as the drain pan and use the pour spout to transfer into another old bottle. Use those 4L car oil bottles. You can pick them up from the bins of car workshops.

If you're hardworking enough, can accumulate enough from the residual.

Drain pan = $3.90 IKEA 5L Samla plastic container. Low and wide enough to catch oil from oil filter and drain plug at the same time with large margin of error in positioning, corners are handily drip-free. Easy to pour used oil back in to bottles.

Bought a roll of those anti-slip mats for $2 at nearby hardware store. Cut pieces out to use as grab and hold mitts in an oily environment, provides good grip on tool handles, engine casings, and Oil Filters. I spin it on till it hits the gasket then hand tighten whilst grabbing it with the piece of anti-slip mat as hard as I can. No tools. Never had any leakage.

Tip on reusing washers. If they're copper, heat them over any old gas flame until they glow red then let it air cool. Anneals copper, making it softer and crushes nicely. Ultimately it will still thin out from all that crushing and need to be replaced.

Bros, any tips/guides to DIY eo change for r15 v2? Much appreciated

Work on a level surface

Use a proper 6 socket wrench with sufficient leverage

Have the correct amount and grade of engine oil. Try to use the good stuff.

It is easier to top up when you have put too little engine oil in than to remove when you have over filled.

Have alot of rags around.
