hi guys,

i ride a honda wave 125cc. recently when i open throttle and move off at first gear, there is a loud DINKKKKKKKKKKK sound and the engine sounds like it goes into before going back into gear 1, it sounds like it is coming from the chain. can anyone help me out with this? sounds like the chain is gonna snap! and it only happens at gear 1. any idea how much it would cost to repair?

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

Eh, is your problem like mine?

After riding for 15 mins or so, when my bike from stationary to gear 1, biting point then fully let go clutch, You dont feel "full power" to the wheels. About 1-3 seconds later, i get this low based "duuk-duuk-duuk" sound, my bike head vibrates a little, than a light rattle, then i get full power to my rear wheel. Happens when my engine is fully warmed up. What could be the problem?

Eh bro. I bought the maxima chain wax. Big bottle. Wah regret sia. The wax turn into Gooish-sludge. Make my chain harder to move. No fling, good lar, but can feel that i am just creating a gooish mess. The dirt and grime stuck on my chain. Clean off already so hard, a few days later, happen again. Lucky i still got some maxima chain guard left from my small bottle. The chain wax i wouldnt buy for my bike. The goo will harden and get stuck in my rollers. Damn difficult to wash off.

bro ah. for me wax is good coz my chain is big. actually, the wax will be wet after riding. dun need to clean so much la. just let it be. once in a while just wipe your chain with a rag. i've done close to 20k km on my bike. chain and sprocket still can go another 20k i guess. but i do agree that it sounds rather sticky when riding. ta200 riders favourite lube. its good for bikes that are hot and warm up fast.

...i didn't think the 'breaking chain' sound was caused by the lack of chain lube. also, yes i am a bike noob, i just passed a few months back and this is my first bike, hence my lack of knowledge, shunoski genius master of the bike world san.

But after i ride, i go and straight away feel. Super disgusting and sticky. All the dirt and grime stick to my chain. Even worse, when wanna wash off, so hard. I got 3/4 bottle left. If i sell, how much ppl wanna buy? I bought the big can for $22.50 at mustafa.

You guys say belray good? Is it the same? No fling? But is it gooey like maxima chain wax?

Then my chain problem above how? The vibration problem. Thanks! :cheeky:

quite common. things to check is tuning, chain and clutch plates. Not an issue unless you want it to be an issue.

Lube wise, its your choice. Personally, after running on my ta200 with maxima chain wax , the chain wax becomes wet. If i use anything more vicious, my mudguard gets stained the thing flings all over the swingarm and i get dirt stuck everywhere and stains my hands when i touch them. manual recommends gear oil 80-90 thickness. Some uses eo or other brands. Your choice.

crazydj bro i got my chain checked out when i went to change my pipe today, the problem was the chain too loose!

:thumb:

Our bro here got his chain tightened and applied some of the maxima chain wax on his wave. According to him, the ride home was smooth and he is happy.

No la my chain not loose. I trying back my Maxima Chain wax. It appears you cannot use too much of it. Must use very little! I am the kind where i like to spam my chain lube! :(
