This kind is usually caught by speedtraps, speedcameras and red light cameras rite?

If TP, they must stop us rite and issue summon on the spot?

All your hypothetical cases are dependant upon whether or not the pursuing officer in question is adamant in pressing his case against you.

If you so happen to be riding in a dangerous manner and the involved officer deems it a danger to the public and himself to give chase, all he needs is your licence plate number and you're pretty much screwed.

Traffic law enforcement officer just heads back to headquarters at Ubi to fill in the necessary paper work and next thing you know, registered mail arrives at your stipulated address.

Whats with all these discussions anyways? Just ride in a safe manner! You will have no fears of liability to donate to government coffers...

Cheers everyone...

With regards of Season parking, there is no need to display..

Mine was covered with canvas with plate number written outside..

and is covered with valid season parking coupon (i put it at home)

So far had not received any letter regarding about the season parking..

Those who doesn't not buy season parking coupon, the fine will be:

White lots = $8

Red lots = $25

As for Road tax, it is necessary to display your road tax with you, no matter what..

As long as you are on the bike, the road tax should bring along with you..

:thumb: to display the road tax to save all the unneccessary stuffs..

the HDB Say you have to display ur season parking ticket, but i didn't do so for some time...

But if u are not paying ur season paking in Giro, after 3nd day they will fine u..

2 moth back i just got fines of $25. wit park in the Red lots of no valid season parking ticket of my late payment..

if u are unlucky just like me got the fines go to the HDB main office (HDB Hub) at level 3 look for the office 1st before u made the fines or (HDB Branch Office). Remender look for the office 1st.. u made the fines

FAQ From http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10204p.nsf/WP...penDocument#Q5:

Q5: How do I display my HDB season parking ticket?

A5: Please note that you should display your HDB season parking ticket prominently on your vehicle at all times.

For cars, lorries and buses, place the ticket at the front left corner of the vehicle's windscreen.

For motorcycles, place the ticket in a disc holder near the road tax.

Our enforcement staff conduct regular checks on the vehicles parked in HDB car parks. To avoid any inconvenience to yourself, please :

Display your season parking ticket prominently and properly.

Renew your ticket on time.

Park your vehicle at another nearby car park within the same group if you cannot find an available lot in the car park near to your block.

For further enquiries, you can contact the Branch Office Service Line at 1800-2255432.

I was told that covering the bike can help to avoid being fine. Safe or not??

The e-system is crap... still have to download a giro form, fill it up, sign n den mail it back to them for processing. So ultimately its not hassle free.

Guess it depends on your luck then... if you meet a garang parking attendant who is far from hitting his quota you'll still end up getting the ticket.

Go buy season ticket for goodness sake. Got money to buy bike, buy helmet, buy accessories but want to save on a few dollars of season parking?

Think of it this way, for the time and trouble to write an appeal for $8 fine so as to save

I bought mine long ago. And it's going to renew soon.
