Few of my friends are using gmax now and the feedback from them not bad. But not sure if it's good enough to take a bad fall or not as none of them had any fall yet (Touch wood). But if you just want to try out track, in my opinion go for it. As least better than just using a leather jacket and wearing jean.

I'm deciding bet the Spidi R2 Kangaroo & the Dainese Kirishima. The kangaroo one sure feels a lot lighter and is also more flexible. Getting in/out is noticeably easier. However, I've been told by a few that kangaroo hide though lighter than cow hide is more tear resistant. So a suit that's made in kangaroo will protect more than one with cow hide.

But I'm wondering if so, why doesn't Dainese or Alpinestars have them in kangaroo yet? The top of the range in Dainese (Sukhoi & Valentino Repica) and Alpinestars (Racing Replica) are all in cow hide still. Is there any concrete evidence to this?

I personally love the looks of the Kirishima but my brain tells me to get a suit that'll protect more rather than looking good...

I have seen people fell at PG turn 2, he is using Gmax suit. It did protect the rider, and I see only slight torn at the knee pad area.

I would say Gmax quality is good base on the price, as for tear reisistant of course it lost up to those branded suit.

I would said if you are just in entry level which just want to try out whether track is your cup of tea. I would think the jacket should provide min protection if it comes with shoulder and elbow guard. But once you don't feel comfortable go around the track with the jacket then I think it should be the time got yourself a suit as you're going faster .... just my two cents worth.

My advice is invest in a good suit if you're really interested in playing on the track. You may save on the suit, but cannot save on protection. You are talking about high speeds on the track.

That's a nice suit you're wearing in your signature pic. Which Dainese model is that?

Budget is important, and good deals do appear, so look for them.

Well i m looking for a suit too.

So far tried e Clover RC100 n GMax

Really like e Clover RC100 but well the smallest size chiap lee has is 46 while my size is a 44.

Though JR is going to have a sale, those Dainese low end models dont have stock for sizes below 48 n those titanium series r way out of budget.

Alpinestar seems out of budget too.

X-storm, GPR r cheap but protection n comfort wise dont seems too apealling.

Any ideas for a 1 piece?

Thanks in advance!

Why four strokes when all you need is two?

For a $1000 budget, think you only can either go for a better quality secondhand suit or a low end new suit.

$1K can buy you a pretty good suit, shipped. If you are not looking for very famous brands like Alpinestars or Dainese, you can get a very decent suit from Fieldsheer, Teknic or AGV for that price.
