No idea about the RS Taichi. RC-100 is in the $1200+ (2 years ago) range. So you can estimate.

Vertigo Corsa Air is $395 by R46's MO.

After much consideration, I am putting up my race suit, gloves and boots for sale. The reason is the suit is a little too loose for skinny me. The gloves are okay but they match the suit really well. And the boots are slightly loose too. :cheeky:

My Thread in Garage Sales

Of course, after selling my suit, I will need a replacement. I heard good things about the Clover RC100. Does anyone know how much it's going for?

Bro, I guess things are looking good for you.

For RC100, come back to Singapore , buy from Chiap Lee.

Hey bro, I'm happy to hear from you.

I am actually actively browsing catalogues online for race suits that are made for my size (US36/EU46). Unfortunately very few are available in USA. Most suits start at size US40. At this present time my sight is set on Arlen Ness.

Roughly what's the price for those?

1) I don't recommend a 2-piece race suit unless you are female (to make toilet visits easier). The weakest point of a 2-piece suit, as you can guess, is the zip linkage between the jacket and the pants. If the zip rips open during a crash, your bare back may be sliding on the tarmac. Also, most - but not all - 2-piece race suits do not come with a back hump, which is necessary to protect your neck.

2) They cost about the same as the 1-piece versions of the same suit. For example the Alpinestars Stage 2-piece suit costs the same as the Stage 1-piece suit.

3) Most two piece suits are designed to be worn together as a suit. The jacket will be very short and you won't be able to wear it alone. The exceptions are those which the jacket and pants are sold separately but belong to the same set (eg. Joe Rocket Speedmaster jacket and pants).

Conclusion? Get a 1-piece suit. Really.

haha no la.. cos i tinking of using it for touring in the future too.. So its like killing 2 birds with one stone.. Wearing a one piece suit for touring will be like wierd aint it? =)

I don't think you will want to wear a race suit to tour. I've done it before. Not really good, and when you reach your destination you need to get to your hotel room before anything else. Plus if you make toilet stops along the way, it feels weird.

You are better off with a 1-piece suit for track and a touring jacket (with removable waterproof liner) for touring.

better to use touring jackets for touring and racing jackets/suits for track.. race jackets/suits too hot for touring..

I use KIWI leather conditioner (not the kind for shoes... the kind specifically for leather clothes / handbags). But it is a little sticky after it dries so apply less, and use a brush (new soft shoebrush).

i dont think it's weird at all.

The only issue is becos of the heat in our region.

Since you cannot seperate the top from the bottom for a 1 piece, you'll have to simply wrap it around your waist.

A good suit allows for toilet breaks very comfortably, no issue.

If you are really touring (meaning using your bike to go places over a few days), your first destination is to the hotel anyway.

My Euro52 Suomy 1 piece for sale $800 or for trade with a Euro50 1 piece suit of equvilant quality. Suit bought in States, only one in sg because Chong Aik brings in only 2 piece Suomy suit. They are selling it at $1300 for the 2 piece, which the I was told the 1 piece would cost $200 more.

R46,

what brands can you get?

I am considering a new full suit as my current Spidi R2 Wind is too tight for me now. Getting Fatter!

I guess it all depends on how much i will need to top up too and if i can sell me existing suit.

I actually like the Alpinestars MX-1.

I saw the following suit rack on eBay recently. The selling price is quite high and it is definitely not worth it to ship to Singapore. But is anyone interested to get a local metal frabicating shop to make it?
