When to change engine oil?

My bike is a SP.

Just did a engine oil change ytd cox hard to kick gear.

Now is much more smoother.

1000km, 2000km or 3000km den I need to change?

Or do I have to wait until I have difficulty engaging the gears?

the oil change is based on the type of engine oil..

wat u change to??

for my sp, i change every 2k, or every 2 months which ever come first. using gear oil

Usually if using semi syn ard 3000k and also depending on weight 10w 40w should be ok,active life will be for 6 months,while it depends on each bike or rider habits,one must compose feeling wen u ride,for eg.symptoms of hard knocking or the engine sounds a bit (rough,loud)unsual or loud signify thats an oil change have to be done,during warm startups an must be wary cause oil change signifies a lubrication to the engine and also at a certain point of view do verify engine life(wear and tear).

 

Yoi can try this trick,i pick it up from a mag!!!

when performing cold starts,while stationary try to engage the gears from neutral all the way to the end and back down again slowly by releasing the clutch .i have tried this on my bike.

fully synthetic eo last u max 10 000km and semi synthetic eo last u up to 5 000km.

but usually people change around 5 000km for fully synthetic and semi 3000km. the thinner ur oil, the earlier u shud change ur eo.

at max most probably between 1600km to 2000km from what i was taught..

I change my EO every 3000km or 3 months which ever comes first. Using fully-syn Maxima 10w40 EO.
