so to mean changing to new wires, energy stored in batt will be higher?

depend on battery's capacity,

but u confirm get higher changing Voltage :cheeky:

had around 14.2-14.9V from terminal battery is ok(dont read from Voltmeter at your bike, maybe lower).

the reading is shown with headlight ON, 1 side.

Note:-

if 15.2V above from terminal battery's readings, your rectifier may gone :dot:

maybe u want to monitor ur RPM at idle and at constant throttle at various RPM..see whether the RPM will remain steady or it fluctuates alot..that can be a telltale sign

if it fluctuates abit or alot? means what? what servicing should do to improve? wash carb + tunning?

wah. long time din come in.

ben, engine sound u can hear but cant confirm it it's gonna gone case anot unless really got trembling sound inside like loose nuts/ chipped fragments inside ur block.

if want to fix also need to depend on how severe the condition. if minor dun bother. if really bad, send to guan hoe at kaki bukit autobay. the old man is very good.

it could be tuning problem..and it could also mean that ur engine got wear and tear problem(eg. losing compression somewhere) hence the non rythmic sound

How bad is the sound?

If someone is familiar with engines, he/she would be able to tell if you have issues. But being an old bike, there would be a number of issues contributing to the sound.

Even if there is a difference in sound, most riders probably wouldn't notice as the variance is gradual over time.

Idling above 1K rpm sounds a little strange.

1) What is the mileage?

2) Have you done anything to the engine / carburetors since you had her?
