the footpegs for the gixxer is already quite high in comparison to the other 400s.

tink moving it back will make the riding position even more tiring :p

haven heard of any aftermarket rearsets for the 76A so far. But generally speaking, aftermarket rearsets are darn expensive.

Maybe can find/fabricate some step up plates instead

VVC means Suzuki's VC-system (Variable Valve Control)......

Peter aka TNT has clearly explained the DOHC touching on 2 cam shafts...

the suzuki VC engine's distint part is 3 cam lobes per cylinder on the intake cam...

The VC Engine

To my knowledge, it's only mounted to the GSF400vv and it uses 2 types of cam lopes... 1 for high speed and 1 for low speed both on 1 intake camshaft... This engine is used to operate on the low speed cam in a low and mid speed range... the high speed cam in a high speed range... This is to ensure optimum efficiency in the engine through out the entire engine speed range... (note the speed we're talking bout is engine speed ah... not travelling speed)

Need more info?

As i've said above, 3 cams on the intake camshaft ... Now, Of these 3 cams, 2 are highspeed cams and 1 is a low speed cam... Which also means there'll be 3 rocker arms... 2 high speed and 1 low speed (the high speed ones are the sub rocker arms...) all fixed on the rockerarm shaft... Installed together with 2 eccentric bushings...

Here comes the main point... (the answer to ur question)

How it works?

Knowing wat it's made of now, i'm sure u've got a clear picture or at least some idea of how it works... Anyway if u don't, here it is...

The valve lift is made when the sub rocker arm's position which is relative to the camshaft is changed with the Eccentric bushings being turned together with the rocker arm shaft...

In the Low and Mid Speed range, the low speed cam pushes the main rocker arm to open the intake valve...

But Wat happens when it's the high speed range???

I was wondering for quite some time too... until i was told by Mr Han from guan hoe that...

During the high speed range, the high speed cam pushes the sub rocker arm which at the same time forces the main rocker arm to open the intake valve....

OOoooo... But then wat actually drives the rocker arm???

Now... The rocker arm shaft is driven by the actuator piston through a certain mechanism (i forget wat it is already... check wif Mr Han) This Actuator piston is operated by engine oil pressure supplied through a valve( i Hinted before that the VC engine is oil controlled in an earlier post... ) this valve moves together with a solenoid ehich is controlled by signals sent from the ignitor unit...

Hope this helps u to have a clearer picture of wat a VC engine is...

BUT then again... This VC engine is not present in the GK76A... if u know of it, why are u asking? Trying to test other ppl izzit?
