the paint is $22 per liter(autopaint) full farring bikes need 2 cans

lacquar/hardener $18

powdercoating $12

Putty $8

AA tina $9.9 per 4liter

wat u need other accessories like maskin tape,newspaper,sandpaper,tools etc.

the most important is...time n patient.d.i.y realli drive u mad especially alone...

i spent 17hr to done up my bike...very shack.

...but its an honour n pride when some1 appreciate wat u did...

ices....sorry to correct you...powercoating is a process where by u oven bake a material which is mostly onli metal with a colour power. When under heat, the power will melt which sticks onto the metal. Thats power coating....and i believe you never use primer rite? primer would cost 20 bucks....everything needs primer before spraying....even walls must be primered before painting.....

 

TiOnGz...do u have a compressor?without a min of a 5hp compressor there is no way you can spray using a spray gun. Even with a 5 hp compressor u will get damn irritated as it would have to refill its tanks evey 10 mins. You can get one for abt 200 bucks. And no i won't lend mine...hehehe....its too big...fills up a standard family car boot..... Try to use car putty which coz abt 20 bucks...and if you dunno the proper process to spray painting dun try....spray painting is abt the process before spraying that determins your finishing....even if you clear coat is damn good, but ur sanding process is damn bad...its useless...

wah~ thankz for ur great info.. btw u did say use car putty? i got myself a car of putty which cost me $3.50 ba.. but i dun think i can cover anything leh.. Can the car putty cover all those dmg on my faring, sai tao?

but watz it call when before u spray...u coat one white paint...i call tis powdercoat loh...correct me if i wrong...

 

TiongZ-u can't cover the cracks(farring)....u need something cal fiber glass...check from glenn.

Putty is for cover the paint tat chip off..n u need times waiting to dry.$3.5 is a small can rite?paiseh coz my factory onli gt medium ...i juz follow the price tab.

hmm.. for me, i rode tis bike for 4 months liao, quite new too

 

so far i did a normal servicing at $175 using my own engine oil.. if u use their engine oil plus another 60 bucks, coz tats fully synthetic

 

i use semi one coz i read up b4 tat unless u race or ride up very long distances, temperature is always very hot, den u use fully one lor

 

since i use it go sch go home, go work go home, never go play one, never ram or anything so i use semi..

 

hmm.. tat normal servicing will be every 5000km for me lor

 

 

but ever since i got tis bike besides the normal servincing i spend abt 155 to fix my clutch plate n sleves..

 

now i love my bike alot alot

 

 

$175 servicing includes

 

-4 spark plugs, ngk ones, those wif 4 mouths

-oil filter(stock)

-air filter ( stock)

-tune carb

-and some o rings here n there ( cost abt 40 bucks, normally no need to change one, but since i got my bike i wanna change it, so actually next servicing no need to change one, just the above 4 can liao)

 

3.6 litres of my own semi engine oil bought by my dad from msia, each cost 5 ringgit, brand is ACE, also dunno wat, but use tat engine oil feeling is good coz when u change gear very very smooth

 

in fact i tink the oil fiter can be washed(to save money)

air filter can use air gun to clear the dirt?? (save money also)

 

tune carb maybe every 2 servicing den tune once?

 

tats all

 

 

as for my tyres, uncle chew from GH say the way i ride, so safety, or u can say i hum ji, my tyre can last for 2 yrs. tat was wat he told me personally

Just something to share..

Managed to fixed up my Mileage problem finally.. but its quite a sum of money though..

Washed my carbs(carbs was SO DIRTY when he took it out. MY god. wonder how long the last owner last washed his carbs), mech tune it leaner for me to save more petrol..

Change an air filter as my old one was dirty dirty liao

Total cost me $118 if i rememeber correctly.. Did it about 1 and a half weeks back..

Just fully tested it.. Before i did this servicing its about 200KM! and my bike hitting reserve!

Now.... i've hit 240km and i've not hit reserve tank yet. Most probably can gof or another 20km i supposed..
