for standard fuse...

 

Main fuse = 25A

ignition = 10A

Fan = 10A

Signal = 10A

Mabbe you'd like to state which fuses were the ones that blew?

Wad i would suggest you do is to go down to the changi branch to look at the bike since it there anyway n deal there as well.....i trust the branches other than changi branch oni as far i can throw them. Based on the coe, i would say its an Fj or Fk mabbe? best to request for log card to take a look at the date.

you mean that wilson is at the changi branch? i don't really know about the reputation of ASPhoon but got 1 guy very arrogant at the bukit merah brand, when i told him that new southern quoted me 3.4k for trade in(he really did), he looked at me and said, 'you mean he quoted you 3.4 uh? go and buy from him lah!'. if new southern have G4, i sure trade in one. the young chap told me that if i really want the bike, he can bring the bike down to let me view. hope that one of you can follow me down to view the bike but i haven't enrol 2a, its at this friday. any idea how long 2a gonna take til tp at BBDC?

dude, good that u are interested in the G4. mabbe it would be helpful for yourself if you could also consider private sellers' bikes. at least private buyers would provide you more information and you can view in more peace... i think.

Yep, private sellers will be able to provide you with more info on the bike, but on other hand, dodgy sellers might throw the smoke bomb on you as well... but for motordiam, the onus is on you to find the faults n bug them to fix it for you. but so when i bought my gsx from the changi branch, they really do honour their 3 mths warranty that they gave me, abeit the standard of the mechs might not be liked by some pple.

 

Not too sure if wilson is still at changi branch thou....haven been there for a long long time....

But i'll be happy to go down to the changi branch to take a look at the bike wif you.... as long as its after working hrs or on sats when i'm free....

 

Tink some of the others here will be willing to help out as well.......??

private seller more troublesome in my opinion, still need to go get insurance, transfer ownership. sad to say but people will tend to hide things from buyers in order to sell their bike. if want to view, i can get that fella to bring the bike down to bukit merah, any tips on how to view bike? so far i know is to look out for white smoke due to piston thingy, scratches for accidents and the 'knocking' noise. anything else to add? but is the price too steep? maybe can help me bargain with the shop assitant.

Workshop sure sell veri ex mah...chris is rite...either itz FH,FK plate...

outlook is nt important...wat imp is inside...farrin can respray anitime but engine...hoho $$$ PTUS

so..best is bring along a pro...n they can guide u all the way.tis thread hav many experts..tell me where u stay n i give u their num btw 3k+ for a G4 is too ex...if onli the bike price... they are rapist...if they realli sell 3k+ juz for the bike...mayb u can check inside the farring...if there's a small wings inside..congrat..coz tis bike can fly after reach 200km/h

 

Dunno y..nt onli me..lots of gixxer also face it-prob cums after the warr dateline end..zhunzhun 1mth...i wonder if they were god...coz they noe when the bike spoilt.

Using wrong fuse numb may cause fuse blow WHEN u usin smaller numb for higher current....but its okie when u use a 15A to a 10A current..understand?paiseh my eng half+7.

 

Check form the wkshop... might b ur wiring/connection...i gt the same prob b4..but after the technician pull here n there n fix...done. sori...my eng realli jialuck..mayb u can ask the rest to translate my slinglish

Erm...every single thing is worth loh...ur go transfer urself is cheaper than let them do...the private owner can tell u wats the prob n wat u need to do...than the wkshop..coz they dunno prob inside..they onli repair it when prob cums..of coz the guy muz be trustable lah...

n the most important is...the PRICE is MUCH diFF!keke its nt 100...200 diff...$1-$2k diff leh...1-2k i can overhaul,change everything new...so...wat u say

i bought my gsx frm ubi asphoon at 2.4k OTR well all i can say is that. the condition of the bike at the pt of time was ok...but after a mth of usage i found out that things start to wear. well i suppose that's under the wear and tear section. eh...if u wanna deal frm asphoon i personally think ubi is a the branch cos the branch manager is the boss's son. well more power ba...he quite young and friendly. well as for the performance of the bike better get a pro down to check...

 

just a few simple pt for checking:

 

1) test suspension make sure gt tension (Rock Hard the best haha)

2) engine sound

3) smoke emssion

4) brakes condition

5) headlight bracket (usu broke lah)

6) engine leakage

2.8k for the gixxer from the shop i would consider rather expensive liao unless it is stunning from just looking at it. It also depends on how long you want to keep the bike. If you are going to sell in a year's time, how much would you sell it? Factor in the upgrades you do on the bike during the year's period. Not to be a wet blanket, motordiam take in G4 sometimes in the hundred $$$ range. If they give $1.4k not bad liao.

 

Like icez said, a few hundred $$ difference is a lot because you could have used it to fund your bikes upgrades AFTER you've understood your bike from daily riding. I realised that myself.

 

Buying from individual may be ma huan but for myself i believe as a biker i want to aquaint myself with the different aspects of biking. Learn abt transfers and how to get insurance and all these stuff. When i wanted to buy my G4, i got some tips from the guys here and go look for one. Sure it had problems after i bought it but i learnt more of the bike when i got about getting it fixed and tuned.

 

If private sellers may con you, motordiam even more possible to con you! Somemore, some dun even let you test ride it. You end up having to take their word for things and trust in their after sales warranty. The main thing is knowing what to look for. In this way, you are not bargaining for lower price, you are pointing out substantial faults of the bike that demands a fairer valuation. It's a world of diff!

thanks for all of your comments. but 2.8k OTR worth it? if i am going to do my own transfer, how much will it cost? but now looking for G4 but haven't sell my bike yet. if you got people looking for Kips, can let me know, i am selling at 3.2-3.4k. with the money, i can buy IceZ's bike. been looking for G4 for 7 months already, although got many people discourage me to get it, but somehow that little voice in me kept pressing me for it. =)

Transfer costs is a slight percentage of your bike's omv if i'm not wrong....that you can check out at lta's website.
