hi guys...anybody noes wads wrong when idling and acceleration is very rough?

 

As in 2hrs ago when i was riding it everything was smooth and alright, but when i start the bike now, the idling is very rough wif tuck-tuck sounds? same for the acceleration

 

oh btw, the extreme left side carb is there only one? or two screws with a hooked head?

Ferrous: u mean idling tat time ur engine noise very loud or soft? Think ur fuel intake n carb need to balance .

 

Solidpig: Yesh da 750 rear shock can be rebuilt at bikelab or elsewhere.

 

Extra information : Da fuse cover behind got state which fuse is to place

da correct amount.

hmm..its not exactly loud or soft, its jus very rough..and i was happily riding smoothly all day long today, until jus now, i left my bike parked under a bike shelter unattended for 2hrs...after that when i got back and start my bike..the idling, the acceleration and the whole feel is v rough...the rpm is steady, but the sound is v rough...

 

touched all 4 headers all v hot, a fren suggested changing spark plug, mm...any suggestions? or issit confirm fuel intake n carb settings?

 

how much would tuning cost?

hello i ride a GSXR400RR too.. I was searching for a long time for a forum solely for GSXR400. Looks like i found it.. I have many qns to ask and hope to share if i can.

 

1. I have a CDI Progressor from Daytona on hand. It can be fitted to my bike with no problems, but wat does it actually do? Has anyone tried it before? My mechanic passed it to me as it was lying around in his workshop for a long time, He told me to try it out if it works for me..

 

2. Has anyone tried Jet Kit before? I hear it has wonderful performance.

 

3. I was hoping for an outing with you guys, I work shifts so I am not free all the time but i would like to meet up with you guys to C the extend of mods on diff bikes and exchange pointers. I always gleem with joy on the road when i meet another Gixxer 400.

 

Please reply me asap, I need to return the CDI kit if i dowan to my mech..

I encountered similar problem also, You should most likely feel the same as me. I just solved this problem this morning, encountered it twice already.

Symtoms:

1) Idling sounds rough

2) when accelerating to mid-high range, the sound of the bike sounds like GN-125 Ah-pek bike

3) when throttle on to go high speed, it seems limited

 

Problem:

1) Spark plug burnt

2) carburettor flooded due to dirt, tuning off

 

just touch the exhaust header the 4 pipes coming out from the front of your bike after you start your bike for 3-5 min (from cold). If one of the pipe is cold still hwile the others are warm, that paricular spark plug is not workin. If the bike still hot sure the pipes will be warm..

 

Just my 2 cents worth.. Cos i encountered it quite often, thought i could share in the hopes of finding ans to my probs.. Cheers!

Recently tried a gsxr...gd...i would say...though so far i only tried 2 of them..increase my bid from 2.5k to 2.8k...still die die ask for 3k...really dunno how to describe...

Tried Roger bike too...hey pal,i thinking maybe i take yrs...cause,so far,yr personality i prefer most,unlike some who wanna play mind games into selling their bike..look like those "Con" man...haha..i see 50% on seller,40% on bike,10% on cost...

Today,even more funny,a guy wanna let me view his bike..he said sunday come and find me,as i sold my bike off already..i said,"Ok,fine with me,i wait.." Saturday nite,i call and ask him wat time meet,he ask me take MRT down to simei when i am staying at amk...

hmm...ok...but the seller uses his mouth to tell u only mah...when i test the bike,also cannot test wats new wats old...so diff to tell leh...any suggestion?

as a new rider myself for G4, i encountered a few problems myself, first, test the rear shock, cause old one tend to collapse and if its stiff, its collapsed. 2nd, the brake discs, my old is kinda loose and it cannot be tighten but can changed. make sure there is not white smoke as it can spell a worn piston ring which can result in piston jam. make sure there is no ticking sound when you rev as that can be a loose timing chain which cost $300 to repair and if left alone, timing chain will break and repairing can go up to 2k. the rest like dirty carb and scratched paintwork is not important as it is not that costly to rectify. the more experienced riders may add on, FYI, i am riding my bike for only 2 weeks.

i have a question, maybe some of you guys may know Martin who used to ride G4, he is quite experienced with G4 as i know and he told me that can put G6 tail into G4 with some modding, anyone can confirm with this and can help me out? i am intending to order a rear cowl and Gsxr750 rear shock online if shawn's can work well.

( but seems like its getting slower n slower ) haha.Next month will wanna fix in yoshi legal endcan, if can getting a full system.Remove da mesh in da header for better performance.Ground wiring to my rectifier,engine ,sparkplugs for better current to all . Fix in daytona steering damper ( given FREE from my fren S4 ) n voltmeter same as ah king ) Fixing in denso iridium power see got power anot( i rem last time my kips fix tat , really feel very powerful but later 3 weeks later it sucks - dun suit 2 stroke bike ) .
