3 hoses. theres one more thinner one.

btw, u dun need to remove the fuel tank to take out the batt. you can save some time by :

1.same as what u described above, unscrew the fuel tanks 2 size 10 hex screws near the seat with an open end n remove all the 2 metal plates and the rubber bits.

2.next half unscrew(dun need to fully take out) the screw near the triple clamp with a size 12or13? socket and attachment.

3.Unscrew the battery holder top 2 screws with a size 10 open end. and below 1 screw(forgot what size).

4.Now slightly lift up the 2 screw end part of the fuel tank and at the same time u can slant the battery at a certain angle towards the pillion seat and pull it out.

Hi guys, need some comments for u all. I am thinking of getting a gsxr400. But since all the machine are very old. Is it worth it to get a cheap 1 about $1k+, N model with some engine problem then overhaul it?

Is N model good?

Is it only the RR model is with 53bhp while the rest are 59bhp?

Hi guys, just waan post some rubbish to keep this thread alive...Seems like our old bike does not get much attention from outsiders. Just us who know how to appreciate. Kinda sad losing out to RVF, CBR.

Guess what today at Bukit Panjang. I saw 1 white hair ah-pek..should be in his 50s..riding a black grey GSxr400RR wif lotsa decals.. amazing right?

Wonder if there are any old birds in the forum who can share wif us the amount of glory GSXR400RR ..used to have..I have heard that b4 Fireblade came out...GSXR400RR was the limelight of 400CC Race replica in Singapore then.. I wonder is that true anot.

Right now. I must say that I spend so much servicing and fixing it that I can't sell it away without incur a super huge loss. So guess I am stucked wif it until I switch to 4 wheels.. So I should be riding it for another 5-6 years...that is if the machine allows me to..

Oh 1 more point, I notice that GSXR's engine purr like a honda whenever the weather is cold.. Usually after a heavy downpour in the evening..Anyone notice that too?

Anyone getting Simpleoiler..Should be getting it next change of chain to extend it lifespan. Wonder if the things really helps the chain.

I also thinking abt the same. Might as well keep the bike till 4 wheelers comes along. Come to think of it might keep it even with 4 wheelers.

hhmm..actually i think that the GSXR attracts more attention than a RVF/CBR. This is cos there are lesser numbers of us on the road. More likely is that you can see a CBR/RVF on the road so ppl jus take it as a norm already :p As for the GSXR, ppl will turn to give it a second look cos they are not too sure wat bike it is :D

Anyway, IMHO, the GSXR has a more agressive profile than the CBR/RVF. Even my non-biker friends comment that it looks bigger, almost like a class2 due to the big breakfast tank. :D

Yup, on a cool nite or morning, the engine is definately more responsive and smooth.
