also one time i stoopidly fall the bike and crack my oil casket on the right...:cry:

 

Other miscelleanous thing

Change rectifier, charge battery, wiring, carburator joint and ring, blah blah...

Starting was damn nitemare !! :giddy:

Nah, @ first was @ cineleisure carpark opp. Bike failed on me.

 

Switched on the ignition key, but there was neutral light & nth to be seen.

 

Took out my rider seat, use a piece of wire to connect one of the wires attached to the condenser if i'm nt wrong to the negative screw terminal of the battery, & there was light. But once i let go, the light went off.

 

Mr Han from Guan hoe taught me this method of manual checking. Hence, i diy, blacktape the wire under my rider seat compartment & rode to ah boy to check it out.

 

Halfway going to ahboy, along serangoon road, the bike suddenly died off, but with the neutral light still on, juz that the start ignition won't crank @ all.

So opened up the seat, can't figure wats the probz. Most prob can't push start @ all as starter can't crank.

 

Thereby, calling the tow truck & pull to ahboy workshop as its the nearest & open on sunday as well, tot of putting it to guan hoe, but they are closed on sat half day & sunday.

 

Haiz, @ the bike shop, need to do up some wiring, & now i will be going there in a short while to collect my bike.

Exactly, always @ the wrong place @ wrong time.

 

Well, this bike has its ailments here & there. Juz hav to be prepared for it.

 

Our bikes are not new bikes, so can't expect much ait.

 

Still, I love my ride & hopefully will last me till next yr & get my class 2 @ same time. Yipee.:angel:

i tink the best way to achieve low fc is to ride a wave.. haha.. hmmm.. maybe ride slow and change rpm at a lower rpm.. usually u guys change gear at wat rpm? tat day in a jam den i see the temp going to hit H liao.. must top up coolant ah? how much must top up? where to see the reservoir ?

 

btw sat saw a yellow G4 passing by sunshine place at cck.. it is any of u guys? the sound of the G4 very loud..

beneath your pillion seat (left side) there is a reserve coolant reservior. you can maintain some coolant there. no need to top up, once the temp reach a very high level, the fans behind the carb will kick in. unless your fan spoil.....

no, the back reservior is a separate from the main one infront. so although it is said that if the coolant is "not enough" it will draw from the back, it is still important to make sure the front one is enough.

 

infact my regular bike shops tell me that, the back one you leave it empty also can. the most impt one is the front one.

 

btw anyone knows what is bleeding of brake fluid or something like that? heard about it but don't know what's it

our beloved bikes are worth about 1.5k to 2k++ depending on plate, coe, condition.

 

my one definately worth $2k++ hehehehehehehe

i also saw alot of g4, like i hand count, more than few of us from the forum..... guess alot don't come here........

 

saw one blue and white..... FK 9** (3 digit)

another totally white cant remember plate......

wah not bad hor? how many owners? coe till?

 

maybe when you change your brake pads then ask the shop to top up for you then, it wont run down one, one full container can last a few years.

Better dun leave the back-one Empty coz tat is like Ur Spare Reservoir mah. If Empty then if suay suay got Coolant Leaking & U dun realise then usually by monitoring the Reserve level U can roughly noe. If Level Drops faster than usual then got Probs sumwhere liao...

 

Bleeding is Draining out all of the Fluid + Flushing then replace wif New Fluid. If U noe the Procedure, like gapping out the air in btw, then can DIY liao :thumb: Coz after time the Fluids sort of loses its Compressant Power thus Braking not as effective as b4. If i'm not wrong its like an 18 mnths per Service thingy ah, unless of coz U Hard Braking most of the time. Correct me if i'm wrong on tiz one :cheeky:

Yep2, once your temp needle hit near to the centre of the gauge, fans will start to kick in automatically. Helps to keep the temp down. Do make sure they are working though. :p

Btw, saw one FL plate GSX @ ah boy juz now. Does it belong to anyone in the forum here. Nice paintwork. 2 white helmets on the bike juz now as well. =P

:( my front brake jerks like when brake , it's like on and off making the bike jerk . could it be the brake fluid ? how much the change or top up ?
