hm...its relatively cheap...can say cheapest among all the 2A...4 me this bike is a transition bike between 2b n class 2...anyway maintanence among all the class 2a sportsbike is relatively the same....but u dont feel like a heavy loss when u sell this 2a bike..this bike is fast n has a loud stock pipe...

 

only con is the posture which is 2 extreme but if u are tall den this bike no problem...yeap when cruising at N/S highway also no problem...

currently i am riding an sp but taking 2A then like all people who change classes i dunno which bike is more suited for mi..

 

i mean all bikes are good its juz wat u r looking for..

 

so i wanna ask u all wat are the pros and cons of gsx400.. coz after all 10 year bike still got people ride sure got its good points rite???

like what yat said...this bike is one of the cheapest sportsbike u can get for class 2a...its horsepower is also one of the highest among the 2a sportsbike...i do agree that the riding posture is abit xiong for long journey..but if u are a sportsbike lover u won't mind the riding posture...for more pros of this bike..i'm sure alot of pple here can tell u that

 

as for the cons in my personal opinion...i noticed that comparing suzuki and honda...suzuki parts cost more than honda's part...so thats one thing that u might want to think about..if u are someone that likes to zhng ur bike..so far there's not much legal zhng i can think of for this bike..exhaust only stock(but the stock pipe got a damn nice sound)...no K&N air filter for this bike..need to modify from gsxr750...common problem for this bike = CDI quite vunerable...electric wiring also quite problematic...other then that..i think this bike is worth the buy :thumb:

yeap...i cover CDI with orange cloth....took from my storeman...so far nothing serious happen 2 it...the cloth able to absorb rainwater seeping in...the power of the saf orange cloth..lol

but i say so uh but i still scrap my bike i tink i lazy to wait lol my corn rod gone case piston chg now corn rod if i spelt it correctly lol.. when my bike move sounds like one machine gun man:gun: :gun: lol.. sad sad

 

another 1k might as well i scrap i am already getting sick of my ride lol...

well from wat i calculate if u sell ya parts individually u can earn like 1k plus bro lol..

 

cause like the valve in the engine cost $100 per umbrella if it has 8 in it will be like $800, then speedometer $80, radiator $80, collant hoses make it $60 for all? cause new ones are $160, piston n block n all maybe $300?, fuel tank $50, rims n tyres front n back $150 if rims only $100 for front n back?, disc n rotors $150, yA fork $80,exhaust $50, carb $100 n well those small thing round off to $200wahhaa see it can be more then $500..

 

well if wat i can say u sell seperatly lor bro, but well the cash that comes to u will be slower cause u need to wait for buyers lor thats the only bad point but the turn over is great dude!

 

 

omg.. im like a total mechanic noob.. i bet the only thing i know how to take out is the exhaust.. lol... bo bian.. dunno how to operate on my bike..

 

unless u wanna buy the bike from me for $500.. then u go invest..

 

otherwise i think i'm heading down this weekend to salvage some of my accessories and personel stuff in my seat.. hopefully my leg recovers well enuff.. im still limping like mas selamat.. !@#!@%!...

otherwise i think i'm heading down this weekend to salvage some of my accessories and personel stuff in my seat.. hopefully my leg recovers well enuff.. im still limping like mas selamat.. !@#!@%!...

Lets start with the cons.

1. Its ****ing old. God only knows how many hands the bike has passed through, and if the previous owner is a moron who doesnt know how to maintain his bike. If you got one that is in an immaculate condition, then good for you. But if you got one that looks good but feels like ****, you would be looking at a huge money pit that longs for your money.

2. Standard parts are hard to find, and aftermarket parts are basically non-existant. There are no aftermarket exhausts available for this bike. Not to scare you, but let me mention that the rear suspension CANNOT be rebuilt as it is welded together. And the exhaust would take some work if you wish to reline the internalss since its welded shut, instead of being secured by rivets.

 

Pros:

1. Its fast. Faster than a CB400. It can also cruise happily at 160kph without overheating, thanks to its ****ing huge radiator. There needs to be a showdown with all the available 400 faired bikes, i think, from the CBR400, GSX400R, RVF400 and the ZX4R. The RVF would seem out of place, since it has a V4 engine instead of an Inline4 engine like the others.

2. Its cheap. The g4 averages as a lower price than some 2b bikes even. But kindly take a look at point 1 of cons.

 

If you found one that is to your liking, do ensure that the COE extension period is 10 years, not 5 years. if you got one thats on 5 years, you sir, are seriously ****ed.

RVF is not tat fast if u compare with GSX

GSX might lose in mid range...

but pick up and high speed crusing..

i can tell u is gd...

Suzuki engine last long i think most g4 here are registered before 1995 but this bike still have performance and speed although this bike is old but can still give other newer 400cc sportsbikes a run for their money.

alan quoted me 500 bucks for a blue/white and a little BIT of black including stickers. said that its gd paint... worth it ? the theme will be the K8 1000.

guys.. my batt has gone haywire i think? last night my voltmeter reads appro 10.5 while cruising.. few moments later it actually went even lower to 9.5 and i could see my sppedo lights went dimmer... but it went back to normal a while later agn...

 

anyone knows?

well bro ya batt is needed to be chg already luh, if its below 11 u better get ready wait tiuk push start, maybe ya bike is not charging e batt when its running hmm someting gone wrong bro.. better get a new batt serious.. cause when riding it suppose to be 12.5 n above yo standard

but i lazy to wait uh cause i dont have a workshop lol.. cause i repair my bike untill i know most of the prices shop quote for almost every parts lol.. the most ex is actually ya engine parts dude.. wahhahaa..

 

the stupid umbrella looks so normal but damm ex its the valve lol.. cause i tink precision parts uh lol...

 

well bro hope u have a speedy recovery luh. hmm well i tink i am geting a silver wing soon wahah check on the kawa 250 insurance too high so damm bo hua siah lol

Try each of the steps in numerical order untill success.

1. Try unplugging ure fuse, blown fuse sometimes low batt. Cheap only nia 50cents

 

2. Send back to planet & get ure battery recharged. Ride it 4 a few days and observed.

 

3. Battery spoil replace battery. Ride it for a few days and observed.

 

4. Wah Jia lat u reach no.4, most likely eith coil or rectifier spoil, worst both spoil, get ready $500 to change these parts.

hey my bike died on me... batt was like 8. something... !!!!!! pushed started the bike.. cant last long.. died on me halfway agn. . . . . .

 

 

i am his most potential customer and yet he just scrapped ! sadded. . . .
