i got something to ask regarding caught for not displaying p-plate .

i was caught today for not displaying p-plate (its my second time ) . but the first time i only received receipt with warning .

then now i will be charged as first or second time ?

 

and i was caught for road block in broad day-light =.=

the first time i get into road block in the afternoon .

Can buy bike cannot buy P-Plate. So cheap bro. If i kenna caught first time i sure won't do it again because 2nd time sure kenna. If kenna revoked you die die try hard hard appeal or ask MP. Only thing left you can do. Hope its just a fine man!

You wanna know how i make sure i dont lose my P-Plate? I bolt it down to my bike. No excuse for me to misplace it or say that it was stolen. If anyone wants it after my probation is over, you can see a large hole in the centre of the plates. Haha.

No need say too much to TS one la. It's clearly a case of trying to 'hiong'. Those who care, will immediately replace one at petrol stations which are located EVERYWHERE. It's just $13, not $130

sports bike at the back quite hard to put P Plate

 

i drilled 2 holes at the bottom of my back number plate and used cable tie (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=cable+tie&gbv=2&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g10) to secure my p plate

it may only 2 thin plastic things, but unless someone take sicssors and cut your cable tie, it won't drop

and the 2 holes you can use to put another cooler plate after your probation .. ^_^

 

regarding P Plate,

i got into an accident earlier this year (at 2am),

i didn't have P Plate at the back at my bike

it was in my bag

i told the IO i didn't know how to secure the P Plate, then i going to mechanic the next morning to put P Plate

 

she charged me at first,

but 2 weeks later i received a letter taking away the charge.

so currently i have 4 months to go and 2 chances.

 

you try going to your MP ba

tell him/her that you need your bike for work or something important

 

for me, my grandma is in a old folks' home and if i take BMW , i need to take MRT and change 2 buses (i know, i got alot of excuses .. hehe)

i got the p-plate under my compartment also . as i said i goin JB tat very night and doin it all tgt . i show the TP my p-plate which is under my compartment . he say he got no choice =.= ask me to appeal

tp take pplate issue very serious..even you not riding..but bike with you no pplate display..police catch..oso kenaa. they wont entertain all excuses. only if they got very very kind heart and if your excuse really really reasonable.

 

anyway ts, they will not issue you revoke straight. they always keep their record.

Can you imagine how many similar excuses TP has received on this P-plate issue? Number plate under seat.... I'm sorry dude, but it just doesn't cut it. It is your duty to ensure that the P-plate is on the bike before you move off. If you don't have it on, then the bike cannot be ridden until you fix one, whether temporarily or otherwise.

 

It seems that everyone has a "valid" reason when flaunting the law but no one wants to accept the punishment when caught.

Bro. Relax man. We just want to prepare you for the worse to come. Not blast you. Note that i still addressed you as "bro" in my first post. Its just that if i was in the same situation, i rather someone tell me what is most likely to happen than tell me that "Its gonna to be fine man. Everything will be a-OK!"

dun worry much dud...when i kenna for my p plate recently too...i was scared **** i gonna get revoked ah...coz my second time also

 

then i receive oni fine for 120 but i was still scared they fine and revoked..so juz as a precaution i went to MP...smtimes tp dun wanna 'really revoke' u ah they have different rules....so the tp could even charge u under improper display which isnt a revokation of licence but rather oni a fine...

so i would say juz go and appeal to mp asap and use eddies to check if ur licence still valid in about 3 days time since the date of offence...all the best man

lol.... it seems to be a trend of diligence in appeals, yet non-chalant on observing regulations. Can't take the heat, don't do it, that goes for posting in forum. You don't expect mama papa figures to sayang you all the times.

u dun need mama papa figures to sayang u all the time but the least u can expect is a reply from a person who can sympatise....i noe of friend who dun put p plate at all and dun get caught i get to find out about ppl who juz happened to be suay like wad happened to me and those a-holes can come and tell me i deserve it....and for appeals, do it if u think is unjustified if not juz pay the fine and go on instead of mulling over it

roadblock got check for p-plate meh? last time i also dont bother put p-plate, went thru soo many roadblocks during the probation period.. they never mentioned abt my missing p-plate, even though they checked my license everytime..the p-plate i bought for my bike is still in its original packaging even after almost 3 yrs..

anyway.. 2nd time offence is revoke (and suspend?).. first time u get warning letter only, but its still counted as first offence.. this is exactly wat happened to one of my ns buddy..

 

but maybe in some cases the TP give face as in wat bro drak3ster mentioned.. they charge u under other rules and give u fine only..

actually for me when second time also they wrote failur to display distinguishing mark blah blah blah...which means i didnt display at all but still got 120 fine...think tts wad u got....the letter also write exactly the same thing....but i didnt get a revokation letter..thank god...so u juz hope ntin happens la...all the best
