How is the temperate comfort on this bike? Does the tank or frame gets hot? Can it be ridden in a hot afternoon?

Hi, pertaining to your question the daytona is not a street friendly bike. The current daytona has a higher clip on compared to 2011 model that I'm riding. The frame is not really that hot but the frame is. Yes it can be ridden in he afternoon but like all sports bike it gets really hot near the crotch area. Hope this helps.

Didn't know this thread is still around.

 

Mine is 2010 model which i bought may 2011. I didn't choose the R model is due to 2 things.

 

1 - those Brembos if got stolen, ain't a cheap replacement.

 

2 - for upgraded Ohlins suspension, how far do we use it optimally? Even stock bike if you know how to play around with the setting, handling will be as sweet as aftermarket ones.

 

Normally people go for the R version is due to bling factor. I doubt they know nuts on setting up their expensive upgrades. Don't get discouraged if your budget is only for the base version. You will not regret indefinitely. I got budget for the R version but choose the base version. Go figure.

 

Best part about my bike? Ecu can be custom tuned just by using a laptop. It's free for all too!

need a new battery for 675R any suggestions where i can pick one up today since Mah is closed?

 

If anyone also can confirm battery model that would be awesome (mine currently in carpark at office - flat)

Anyway, just for a fellow daytona rider:

 

Use bikebandit to find the part number(s) you need. They do not deliver to Singapore, but they have nice schematics for you to find the correct parts.

Then email Jack Lilley directly for quotation of the parts. Their service support is very experienced.

Let them know your bike model/year and they can verify for you if you have ordered the right parts.

They usually respond within 1 business day and you pay them through paypal.

Do note that there are some differences between daytona 06-08 vs daytona 09-12.

Make sure you choose the correct parts for your bike.

There are no regular outings. Ducati n Harley have more outings
