Since we are on the topic of shooting sports, pasir ris east cc and potong pasir cc have courses on archery as well. Both are indoor ranges

Yah. But the Safra Yishun does only static shooting. Stand there and aim.

Not as active as IPSC leh. *IPSC=International Practical Shooting Conferederation. Involve with running down alleyways, diving to prone position or jumping thru obstacles & shooting for targets hidden behind windows & doors.

Orggghhhhh......so now I know.

Cos at Practical Shooting, we don't shout IA, we are trained to remedy the situation automatically and usually in silence.

Just try to unload, clear the slides, reload and fire off as soon as possible, cos our scores are tied to the timing of completing the set.

Wah so steady ah? So I guess that's the appeal of shooting at airsoft then. But wah very tiring leh, run down during ns already quite chuan, this one dunno the bullet fly where

Take it as pratical shooting practise. Its got scenerios shoot so it might be useful for those people who might be involved in bullets exchange situation.

Eg. getting down a car at a roadside and some snipers fired at you. What is your safety position that you can adopt to return fire? What are the safest and fastest way to move to another location to get the target?

No all shooters will be at the standard human height straight ahead of you for you to shoot back.

So consider it a combat training.

I was telling my fren in USA, he owns a couple of guns and is licenced to carry concealed arms.

But he only know how to shoot in a static standing shooting position in a range. So it will be totally useless when he gets shoot at in public. :faint:

Actually I more keen on firing live firearms http://www.singaporeshooting.org/shooting_intro.shtml

Anybody wanna go try?

Shotgun is similar from firing off one round from your weapon supported at your shoulders.

It is fun, but can expect some blue black on your shoulders after a lot of firing.

If you know member of the Singapore Gun Club and they bring you in as a guest. Its much cheaper. Somewhere around the range of $25++ (Not Including bullets/rounds.)

they din state the prices of the courses leh ...vicious care to enlighten me ?

Easier if you drop by Sembawang Community Centre and check the prices yourself. Also at the same time, suss out the place and the instructors.

They are contactable at Sembawang CC's Trigger Cove Cafe. Look for Louis, Tina or Limin.

The prices are different, depending on your CC membership, your status possibly as a student, or group or individual testing shooting.

Also will depend on whether you hold a package like me....... Personal weapon, magazines and consumables.

They have pictures on the wall, look out on one of the pics where we were in HongKong for a competition.

This Airsoft thingy is all about air-rifles only right?

So the only place in SG besides SAF :sian: where you can use real firearms is SG Gun Club?

Also, what kinda firearms are we talking about? Specially built competition models :sian: , or actual production firearms?

No this Airsoft-Asia outfit uses air pistols/handguns.

The same outlook like normal pistols/handguns.

Colts, Infinity, Barettas, Desert Eagles kinda stuffs.

Except that they are 100grams lighter then a live weapon and uses compressed gas and plastic pellets instead of gunpowder and lead.

And no....there is a couple of clubs that does pistol shooting also.

Safra Shooting Club~only if you manage to weasle your way into Action Pistol Section.

HUSRA~Only selected uniformed personnels allowed

Singapore Rifle Association~Buy your own gun and shoot with the Action Pistol People...or else, you can shoot air rifle and pistols.

Singapore Gun Club~Shot Guns, Small Bores, Action Pistols.

NTU, NUS & various NPCC groups all have their shooting team.

The keyword here is: Action Pistols for IPSC & IPSA. That's where the action is.

:slapforehead: :slapforehead: :slapforehead:

National Shooting Centre

990 Choa Chu Kang Road.

Keep going in, passing all the cemetries and you will find it.

That's the place to shoot air pistols, rifles & live firearms.

National and school shooters shoot there.

SRA & SGA offices are all located there.

The SSA is the authority governing all shooting sports in SGP and is the ones responsible for setting up the NSC.

SGC, SRA, HUSRA, Safra Shooting Club does have live shooting. All such live shooting is conducted at NSC.

Airsoft Asia, NUS, NTU, SRA, CDANS, Safra Shooting Club etc etc does Air Weapons Shooting. Conducted at any licensed area.

SAF has their own live firing ranges.

Had a friend who studied in the USA. Went to a gun club and paid to fire off automatic weapons.

My key point here. Let me bold that for you Ms Cat.

Automatic Weapons

Can we find those in SG, besides having to wear No. 4?

try searching it from yahoo singapore.

I think I already gave out as much information as I knew. if you are looking for things I do not know....then its not my problem. I had assume that I was referring to Shooting Sports which some people actually knew soemthing about. My apologies.

BTW, I do know what is No.4; you guys are still stuck at M16 or the 'newest SAR21' which BTW, has a centrepage feature in USA's Arms & Weapons Magazines 3 years back.

And FYI, I didnt realise I was refering to 'Antique' weapons which doesn't reload automatically.

My SGP fren teaches shooting in USA. Another teaches martial arts. Another lectures in international criminal and terrorist subjects.......

and in answer to your No.4 then can fire live arms.......you need to look around a bit more instead of relying on people spoonfeeding your curiosity, especially since you did not understand all my direct answers above.
