Heh heh heh.....good lah...can 'lim kopi' with me. I have some good Hawaiian Kona Coffee stored with Louis.

U can either find me thru my club tee with my viciouskitty74 nick embroidered on the side, or you can find a short fat chinese female walking around with a bright 'red colour butt' weapon on the waist.

biaxident,

I have shot live weapons first before I tried out Airsoft.

CZ, Glock, Barettas, S&W 0.38, GPMG, HKMP5, M16, CDANS Air Pistols, SAR21, Taurus 0.38, S&W 0.22, Clay/Shotgun & Air Rifle.

am now training to shoot weak hand, and preferably some training from drawing from left tigh holster in the next few months, using airsoft weapon before I want to graduate to a live automatic pistol/handgun; so as to minimise life destroying mistakes.

and Safra Shooting Club members, as their club name suggest, consists of members that graduated from NS automatics rifles to shoot live automatic pistol/handguns at NSC.....and they dun wear the fabled no.4 to NSC when they shoot.

I hope my answer is clear enough.

I forgot about the AR15. Neber got to touch it.

SGP is not particular about the ammo use for the P226 though.

Understand that in USA, the shooters actually study into which ammo sounds better and shoot better, less carbon, less 'elephants', more faster, less kickback stuffs. Mind boggling siah.

The idea is not to 'prart prart prart prart' off the ammos.....must have 'finesse'. I think my fren meant, must shoot with style.

Not really.

After 2.5yrs in green, most guys still have to contend with 13 to 23 cycle (see rank) to play warrior every 2 weeks or more per year.

I'm just curious abt the availability of automatic weapons in local gun clubs. And since you're in one, I thought you might be able to provide more info on it.

Not intending to join any in the near future, of course. So I don't want to do too much research on it. Will rely on your info for now.

Er... another point to note. I didn't mean semi-auto pistols like the P226. When I mentioned autos, I was talking about assault rifles.

Aforementioned friend of mine actually got his chance to fire off an AK-47, M-60, RPK-74, and even a German MG-3 while he was studying in the USA. Showed me the video of it. Looked fun as hell to swiss-cheese a wooden target board at close range.

Sports shooting does not require that sort of weaponry.

Its also not profitable to bring in that kind of stuffs due to the licence, storage & machine fee (Buying in bulk and buying a single piece has a lot of difference).

So no. Unlikely that our local shooting club has it, unless someone was really crazy enough for it and has it here, at his own expense.

Carbines, Assault weapons are usually commercially available for countries with large expense of land. We in SGp just need to throw a stone, and it would hit another person; even firing a GPMG can land across the Straits and cause an furor.

Got some vids of my fren firing off carbines and others to targets across some lakes.

And yeah....if you just want to do a one off shooting of such weapons, you either has to be with the right unit of the SAF or you pay to shoot it overseas.

Dank you weli weli mush. :D

That's all I wanted to know actually. :thumb:

The video that my friend took was very nice. T'was a gun club somewhere in Miami, FL.

He also fired some vintage weaponry.

Actually one of interest lies in WW2 weaponry. I kinda like the M1 Garand and German Karabiner 98. The Garand is semi-auto, the K98 is a bolt-action rifle.

But I guess these aren't available here either. o_O

USA has lots of shooting clubs. Carry concealed weapon is a norm.

For antiques weapons, try their museum.

Yup, quite the norm there. But you gotta have a license to carry concealed firearms.

Museum? OK Great! So you could probably grab one of those geezers off the shelf and fire off a couple of shots huh? ;)

K Thx bye. :bouncefire:

Got... ;)

The first target will probably be the museum guard that's running towards you asking you to "HALT!", but that's off topic anyway.

Now I can return you to your thread proper.

That's of course unless you're in a state like Texas where concealed carry is illegal... and OPEN carry isn't. :) What that means is that you CAN carry a gun that's VISIBLE in that said state. Course, if you go to another state that requires a permit to carry concealed, then doing the OPEN carry thing will get you busted... for "brandishing." :)

V.Kitty: The M1-garand is kinda old; 8 rounds of 30-06 on a stripper clip. The latter acts as a 'magazine' and the recoil is kinda harsh - esp for asians. :) The K98 though - now that's nice. :)

The rest : I don't miss the days in green, and I don't play weekend warrior ... But this is among what sits at my bedside...
