Don't worry its name after Everton Park near Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

For a start looking for friendly matches before joining ESPzen league.

 

Looking for minimum 22 players ( 11 1st half 11 2nd half ) common we are not EPL player where got stamina hahaha.

we are just a group of friends above 30 mainly who have not played 11 a side for like the past 10years ....just want a good fun kickabout .....our opponent backed out last minute so really need opponent quick ....we do not have jerseys so we probably wear same coloured t shirt as long as dont clash with other team colour ...

If that is the case, think should we really get together to play soccer one day, we should get everybody go through one round of IPPT every time before we start playing.

 

So that all of us train for IPPT as well. It doesn't matter if we pass or fail during such pre-soccer IPPT. I believe if we can do it once evey weekend, then we should be able to "NOT huff and puff" and pass it with ease when our actual IPPT is here.

Yeah, i agree, coz 5-6yrs ago when i got friends playin street soccer also played every Sun.... After 4games, i felt stamina better... But too bad, they stop after the 4games coz the organiser got some probs....

I made a few mistakes too. One was even so "deadly" that it resulted in a goal for the opponent.

 

I stayed in line with the opponent striker, when I should have moved upwards to make the opponent in an off-side position. But I didn't. He was not found to be off-side, dribbled the ball and scored.

 

Even the muscles at my inner thigh besides the "ding dong" also hurt like mad sia... hahahaha...

Yah true. But those were silly mistakes i made. Or rather lack of stamina mistakes. Really didn't noe that my stamina was so bad. 1st 10mins panchek already.

Thanks for your kind understanding for our lack of match fitness and poor performance, due to the fact that we haven't played for so manay years.

 

After last Sunday, I finally understand what the EPL managers referred to as their players cannot start as the first-11 as they still lack of match fitness.

 

Now, I truely understand what is meant as match fitness...

 

BTW, if there is a match this Sunday, can I request to play as a Defensive Midfielder (even if I am playing as a reserve player)? With my lack of match fitness, I will feel more comfortable and confident tackling for ball, covering for the two cetnral defenders, knowing that there are two defenders behind to cover me.

 

Once I gain back my fitness, my speed, my marking, my heading, etc... I will fight for that all-important first-11 central defender position.

I don't mind standing in as the reserve goalie too, if there is a need be. (Sorry, Bro Pandorax, not trying to "snatch" your "rice bowl". Hope to be able to share your "burden", should the need arise. )

 

I have some little experiences as a goalie when I used to play for my unit during my Army Days in MINDEF, when nobody wants to play goalie... hahahaha...
