guys , if i am going to buy a bike from forum , and i will COI that ppls bike , what things to be take note and what black&white need for the bike ? like after all the COI finish the bike will be mine .

The only clear thing is that the seller still owns the bike.

 

The so-called "agreement" letter is not recognised by the law, meaning all summons incurred by the sub-rider (buyer) will be sent to the owner.

 

On the other hand, there is nothing you can do if the seller decides to play punk and take back the bike.

The only legal way is to reloan the bike and transfer the ownership to yourself.

COI in some shops they allow the bike to be transfered into ur name. so check that out 1st

Before you decide to go ahead, do the following checks :

 

- the installments are up to date

- go online to check if there are outstanding summons in Singapore, and Malaysia

 

Pray daily that the owner is not going bankrupt.
