Any one bought a used bike from a bike shop recently?

Hi all ,

 

Intending to get a second hand bike this week . Have left the biking scence for almost 10 years. Reccecee the ubi area and still see the familar Dexing and Kiville shops still around . Looks like they expanded taking up a few adjacent shops as well. Anyway my questions are

 

 

1) Is the process still the same where you go to the shop, choose a bike , pay the deposit and the insurance, sign the documents and get the bike straight ? or do we need to wait for a few days before we can collect the bike ?

 

2) What are the " expected" chages that i am required to pay for ? ( agreement fee / admin fee/ paperwork fee etc ).

 

3) Am looking for specifically a DRZ 400 . Any thing i should look out for ? what freebies can i ask for ? or is there still such a practice ? 10 years back we asked for everything from "free" oil service to stickers hahah. Still remember we buy bikes from them goining there empty handed and asking for free helmet and riding off straight ( old space ship fish bowl visor kind Zues brand )

 

4) Any shops that practice advocate " technology" in payment such as inter bank giro / or AXS akin to car installments ?

 

5) Any highly recommended and reputable bike shops ? ( Business integrity and price )

most impt is to find out the total bike price loh - including "freebies", agreement fee, admin fee, paperwork fee, gst, and other extra costs.

 

there are some shops who say "no admin fee, no penalty charge" end up selling a higher price than other shops that got all misc fees.

Republic motor has a very new DRZ if you still finding one.and i highly recommend this shop.
