hmm...How many really take their 2B sports bikes to the max?

I mean, other than asthetics, I wonder if anyone can feel the difference between the handling of say, a SP to a Mito in everyday Point A to Point B riding? Is it really worth the extra cost?

Most of us move to 2A eventually. No need to spend too much $$$ on the 1st 2B bike if you intend to upgrade soon.

After all, if you want performance, change to a bigger bike. :)

Years ago, i got a SP. Breaks down something like every 2 months. :(

Well, as said by others. All bikes breaks down if the previous owner didnt take care of it.

But if my bike is of a more rare model, I would really have to pay alot more for the repairs and parts, and I wonder is it worth it.

I took good care of my first RS125. Oil change every 3000km. Best 2T available. etc etc.

Yet I had to overhaul it twice in a year. I rode the tits off it. Maxxed it out whenever I could, esp up North. After 10 months, I gave it up.

Parts are too expensive compared to Japs. And the RS125 uses a plastic... that's right, you heard it.... PLASTIC gears driving the balancer. The thing shattered within my engine the day after I came back from the track, causing the whole engine to vibrate. This bike was designed as a track tool to start with, and not an everyday commuter.

U ride it like a wuss, the damned guillotine powervalve will jam up on you, good, fully synth 2T nonwithstanding. And if you ride it like you stole it, the parts wear off really fast. But that's the nature of a race replica. Ride hard, service often.

My advice, get the right tool for the right job. Get a bike to suit your use.

U don't buy a Ducati superbike to potter around town at 50kph.

That's not passion. That's just a mechanical waste....

Most 2B bikes are owned by p-platers who knows nuts about bike maintenance.. they would just wack their bike and go to shady shops who promise them they could mod to make them faster but ended up screwing it up.. But it's ok,cos they'll sell it to another p-plater the following year..

some people buy a slightly expensive pasta bike, when it breaks down, they complain cause they already paid so much for it

some people buy a cheap sushi bike, when it breaks down, they dun complain cause it's cheap

every bike needs care, be it pasta or sushi

prevention is always better then cure!

have u tried riding mito? its a huge difference in terms of handling, cornering, stability, braking, safety, riding posture, tire choice ect.

not everyone would want to buy the big bike and go 3-4time the speed limit.

some would prefer small 2t bikes to smoke bigger bikes on the bends.

italian race rep 2t are worth to mantain if u want to play it as a trashy toy.
