can someone confirm with me.X1r has FW plate?

I thought it is a new bike with FB*?

Dude,

I suggest if your friend encounter more problems,

take the bike and bring him to another shop.

if you don't want him to ride the bike, call for towing

ask around from SBF members and see what shop they recommend.

Hmmm this cycle have been going around for ages. Riders who just passed go bike shop and "kena" sweet talk by the sales people. Promises, which are not stated in the contract, are meant to be "broken"! I figured since your friend have gotten the bike from the bikeshop he have signed the necessary documents. Did he read the document in detail? Most if not all those who just passed will be too excited at the thought of getting the bike of their dream that they just happily sign on the dotted lines without even knowing what they sign for.

Therefore I suggest you ask your friend to bring you or whoever have knowledge on bikes to go back to the bikeshop and state the problems your friend is having with his bike. Most bikeshops do offer 1 month warranty on their bikes from the time the customer collect the bike unless it is not stated in the contract. Be aware that with the contract that your friend have signed, the bikeshop have its back covered against any claims your friend have against them. Hope this helps.

Hmm... Not trying to side anyone, but a 4 stroker with black smoke emitting from the exhaust doesn't mean that "CONFIRM PISTON BLOCK CON ROD GOT PROBLEM!l" It could be carbon from the exhaust since you are dragging the bike.. Maybe I'm wrong.. So normally u will drag ur 1st gear all the way to 40km/h to determine whether the PISTON BLOCK CON ROD is in good condition or not?

Since your friend already bought the bike from M1, just leave it there and let them do the overhaul and rectify the bike. Dont get so worked up. Personally i do know BOY, maybe there is some miscommunication between BOY and Botak. Chill and have a good talk with them.

Just my 2 cents worth. Cheers!! :thumb:

Not to add salt to the wound - but buyers (especially first time buyers) should heed the advise of those who have posted their thoughts/experiences in this forum [motor tiam rating]. It is always good to do your research first.

Always have the "promises" in black and white and countersigned by the person offering it. It would be good (if you can get it in) to have the words "In case of ambiguity, this/these addition(s) will supersede any other terms referred to in this contract". Me not lawyer.. but this is the gist of it. Then there should be less worries about what is promised and what is not.

I wonder if the bike shops are open to the idea of putting down additional terms/promises in paper to avoid ambiguity or future disputes? After all, if one can offer it verbally, why not have it written down - unless one is not planning to honor it.
