Here's it goes...At first thinking of going for the Honda 599 at $15.5k-$16.8k.

Prices haven't finalize yet.So these bikes are nowhere been seen in SG yet.

earlier on like few weeks back, there was a display model of the 04 honda 599 at Mah Pte Ltd. Can check with them though.

 

The display has now been changed to 04 GSXR600.

Its only going to cook ur balls if u ride the bike in shorts and slippers.

 

Last Sunday, I was on the CTE heading towards the PIE in a car. A bike was going pass us and it was a FAZER but the turn off was that the rider was in shorts and slippers. It was a total disrespect to the bike and to himself IMO. How can anyone ride with slippers and shorts??? Dun they think that their skin is worth it in case of a fall??

 

Anyway back to the discussion, the Fazer is hot but not as hot as a Blackbird which I used to ride. But after awhile, u get used to it as the heat hits below the knee and not at the balls.

 

In a nut-shell, get the Fazer and enjoy the ride.

Hello guys, just wish to share something FYI. My Fazer developed a problem yesterday night. When I open the throttle, it seems very jerky. The exhaust sounds funny too. Not too sure what it is & did not have time to really check. Today I confirm together with 2 colleagues that something is wrong whenever I open the throttle. Went straight to Hong Leong to have it checked.

 

This time when the mechanic & me start the engine, the rpm needle shot to 7000rpm. This is a self-diagnostic which means that there is a problem with the EXUP system (for those not in the know). The mechanic says I have to leave the bike there for today so they can run some test to diagnose the problem. He says that it could be that some socket is wet & the EXUP system is sending the wrong signal to the CDI. It can also be that the servomotor is the culprit. In which case, they have to replace it if stock is available. Whatever it is, my bike is still under warranty & I should be able to claim from it. Switched it off & on again but this time the needle does not show the error code. Sometimes there, sometimes not.

 

Hope that there is no major problem with the bike. Has anyone had the same problem? I hope this will not discourage potential buyers from getting the Fazer. Just a minor glitch. It will always deliver a great ride. Current Fazer owners, agree? Will keep you guys updated on the outcome. Wish me luck!

I am still a bit puzzled.. how to differentiate between the years??.. is the year in the log card, the year of the bike??.. thus, the model of the bike???

the only different i can find is the types of color available

n 02 model the fuel tank is written "yamaha" where else 03 model onwards has the yamaha logo
