hi everybody. i feel like install a KnN air filter.will it help on the bike performance?

do i have to tune my bike after install cause i don't which GOOD bike shop to go

for tuneing?so hope u guys who have install can share with me . thanks.:confused:

I dun see the point in doing that... but nevertheless, I think if you wanna do dyno, onli motorsales centre does it..not too updated on who does that though...

no lah, not doing dyno. just normal fuel air tuneing on the carbs.

just changing the ait filter, the manufacterer actually does not state that u need to retune... you know that... haha... but nevertheless, after you change, if you experience excessive heat, coolant droping, white plugs...etc... then maybe you need to retune lor... else you can leave it...

 

BUT, I dun think there is a need to change...

tat shop is 'eversuccess' lah.........

 

so far i used k&n on my other bikes, throttle response is better, increase in hp, and bike is running leaner.

 

when used on small bikes with just few hp, u can feel the ultimate difference, but when used on big bike, the increase in hp is not significant.

for doing dyno run - MSC, Looi's Motor & Unity has the damm machine.

printed an extra copy of FZS1000 workshop service manual. Not sure for which year FZS1000, but great as a general guide. up for grab, FOC, just treat me coffee next time if i turn up for meetup. Self collect at Bedok. PM me your no.
