Alamak... you should have sms or call me la...

Anyway... the sad news is that ma boss worried that I may (as if I am so "duuhhh!") injure myself on the track... so she sneakily booked tickets for "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and said we should spend time with the kids lalalala...blah blah... so that was the end of my PG outing.

Next one... for sure no more excuses...I am going.

For the guys in the East, we usually meet at big carpark at Fort Rd/ECP at 7.15am.

Group meets at GP Esso/Rest stop around 8-9am then zoom zoom to PG for 10-11am session.

Will keep you all posted for the next session. Heard it was quite a large turnout today :weep:

forget the bike shops... they'll give you ridiculous offers and then sell your TLR for $7.5K.... they are the official "loan sharks"... when they are selling... loans are arrangeable.

I did have a firm offer for my bike but the problem for the buyer was loan... anyway, I have fully sorted outed my bike and enjoying it...don't think I wanna sell it now.

Maybe your bike needs to have the TBs balanced and perhaps your TPS is out.

Did you check your fuel filter?

What sort of problem are you referring to when you say that "not enuff power" and "still jerky in 1st gear"?

Go to the tlplanet and refer to my "flat spot" problem.....now my bike runs smooth all the way to almost 11K rpm. Pulls like a horse and seem to have an extra surge of power at 8K rpm. Beautiful!!

I actually went to the bike shop to have it re-checked (as I thought my buyer was gonna get the loan approved already... not nice to pass a bike to ppl when it's got a small niggly problem)... and they found a small vacuum leak at the TB/Manifold interface.

guess maybe i haf some problems with my bike lo...

by the way roy no pt selling to shop...i rather keep than sell to shop. Guess I must see if got buyer if got then sell off if not then I will try to find out the weakness in the bike...or is it just mi? dunno la....i wanna go track too but with the TL i think very hard....i not so zai

dunno leh maybe ba....haha... btw where to adjust the idling huh?

Bro,

TPS need to be checked.

CHECKING

Warm the bike up to operating temperature.

Locate the Dealer Mode block under the rear seat/hump (left side on the TLR, right side on the TLS). It is the one with only 2 wires.

With the ignition off, remove the rubber cover and jumper/short/connect the two connectors pin with a spliced wire

Start the bike and make sure it is idling at 1200 RPM.

The LCD display on the tachometer should have a bar in the middle of 3 bars

Advance the throttle to 1400 RPM with the Fast Idle Lever.

After a few seconds at 1400 RPM, the indicator in the LCD should advance to the upper mark (top bar of the 3 bars)

If it advances at 1400 RPM, your TPS is set correct.

Idle screw is here... clockwise to increase.

my suspension setup.....actually i feel that it doesn't really have enuff power....still got jerky move in 1st gear.

suspension is not the best on the TLR... but you can play with it and mainly you have to get used to the bike and then take it to the max... not beyond it.

Power is relative; what gives you the impression it has "not enuff"? A V-Twin makes a lot of its power low down (relative to a IL4 which makes peak power at high rpms). The TLR is plenty quick.. I easily hit 180kmh without even trying hard; sometimes just "accidently" rolling on the throttle even in top gear.

The torque on a TLR is quite "flat" hence you may not feel the "power band" as in IL4 where the torque is very peaky.

BTW, have you adjusted your chain... better do it or the chain will "eat up" your exhaust pipe.
