Getting it from my buddy at work, who in turn bought it from another buddy. So basically i work with the last two owners of the bike and have seen the bike for the last two and a half years. The present owner only rides it once or twice a week now. Getting it for 1.7k which i consider a steal.

 

Only problem is the bike tends to die off sometimes when coasting to a stop, probably needs a tune-up.

Does your RPM go a bit crazy when you clutch in after revving lightly or after moving off slowly?

If so, its in need of a TB sync.

Can bring to most shops and tell them balance the throttle bodies.

They will need to plug in a vacuum gauge and balance out the TBs.

Might be a good time to get the TPS calibrated, air-filter cleaned (if K&N) and spark plugs changed....

Yeah it probably needs a TB sync. I'll sort the bike out once i get my hands on it. I'm only taking over the bike in july/august, only eligible to take cl2 next month, but i think i'll sign up at ssdc around end june cos i'm still recovering from a broken wrist.

 

Where's a good place to get this kinda work done? Looking for a mech that's familiar with TLs.

$1.7k cash? wow!! can own a class 2 bike with only $1.7k ar?

Any TLR rider tried their top speed by holding on for at least 10- 20 secs ? Last time i clock my friend's Tlr is around 280 on my zx9 .........Wondering whether my current TLR can still perform to the task hahaha

hello there .....just wondering how many TLR riders are left here? Maybe the old birds can organise meet up for kopi? I would gladly join if my timing is right.............
