Got some infor from my frd...he says TL1000 is 1 of the slower pickup,most problemactic 100cc bike huh....izit like gsxr400 compare to other 400cc sportbike? sori no offence...juz wanna noe more,,,

Problem-wise, I dunno.

Other than my initial gearbox problem (caused by previous owner), I've had not much major problems. Mostly minor wear & tear problems solved by ordinary maintenance.

Other than that, I'm into my 8th month problem free. Most common problem would be electrical. But its due to heat or wiring. You have to be patient, be able to troubleshoot problems slowly and be bold to try new things.

If you're the type the prefers to tackle problems before or just as the occur, it would be ok. Same as the Aprilia. Many says got lots of problems.

But if you observe the bikes, you would notice that many of those who say got problems, never really maintain their bikes well.

Small Continental bikes and big Jap bikes require some TLC. You can't just dump it one corner and expect it to start perfectly every morning. Some preventive and rectifying maintenance needs to be done.....

And no, ask some of those lao-jiao GSXR400 owners. Those who really look after their bike with passion, never had any major faults.

Pick up wise, very subjective. I've yet to send my bike for PG Saturday Nite Sprints (oh yes, I will one day). So I can't say yet. If you're expecting a full launch like a Busa with nitro, prepare to be disappointed. But it still has quite a nasty launch if you know how.

I dun like to do tat here. Not safe. TPs all around. Play at NSH instead.....

hey icez, does your frd know the diff between a V-twin and a inline ?? V twins...by nature, are suppose to be slower as compared to inlines... but it can reach its top faster.It also doesnt have a powerful launch as compared to the busas..well..on a personal note, the tiller is quite a tough bike in terms of performance as well as engine..

i personally think that u shld get comments from ppl who are or have ridden the bike before..instead of getting comments from someone that ONLY HEARD or read from somewhere...

Saturday I onz. But after 8:30 please.

Sunday I working but still can meet up locally after 8pm.

Let's hit another kopi spot in town or Orchard lah. Feel like hitting the Forum Coffee-Bean again, manz....

Wah piangz. Yesterday's downpour really wrecked havoc on my bike. Cold temp made starting idle really jialat. TPS and TBs out of sync. Plus kena one huge backfire last nite. So loud, I felt it thru the tank. Tot I got petrol vapor kena ignited. But my bike can start and no smoke, no leakeage and no sign of damage.

Think it was thru the headers. It was so loud, I felt it and was able to clearly hear it over my earphones.

Piangz. Today give it a rest and take my spare bike to work. Tomorrow taking leave to work on it.

Scary liao.

no.. dun think so... I think the bike was running too rich... idling was very low. I rev a bit and it wanted to die.... TPS was off. It was the weather. Even my fren on his Gix1000 oso told me the same thing.
