squeezing in between a lot

Now here's the prob.I've juz stated werk in ION last mth.As u noe the parking for bike iz $4 plus per entry so i took a cheaper alternative.By parking @ public carpark behind wheelock place for $0.65.As there are limited space for bikes,there's bound to be shoving.I usually have to wait at least 1/2 hr to get a space & u can imagine lunch hr....so I adjusted small bikes mainly malaysian bikes just so i can squeeze in between 2 bikes in a lot without harming or scratching it.But recently i've been targetted.My rear license plate was broken in two.my bike was moved away from my lot.My parking coupon thrown.So watz the next advisable solution or action i could take.(ps:I've been summoned 2 times there juz by parking outside a lot)

my friend told me mounteli is FOC. i not too sure abt it cause i just started working in wisma too . Will try to find out more abt it . town area parking is a headache .

Ok now i tink those one of the malaysian bikers that you just rearrange and probably don't mean to shove get a ticket.so they check that you are the odd one out,wat i can say is go change your parking location may be infront of cathay cineleisure???:angel:all i can say it is the nearest alternative.

I think you have unknowning offended someone. Maybe you can talk to your boss and see if they can reduce the entry fee or something. I'm sure they have some sort of Season Parking thing.

Kick those M'sian bikes! Some squeeze 2 in 1 slots, kena summon also they never pay, ride back to msia change bike, come in again. Ever since the construction at orchard there got more msia bikes. You can diss me but i just think Msia riders are the worst riders, come here anyhow ride, never respect road condition here....

It seems very common for the Malaysian registered bikes to squeeze 2 bikes into 1 lot. Just shows that there are inadequate public parking lots and employers who do not provide parking for the Malaysians at the work site are causing inconvenience to the public who really need the lots. It is a major problem at the carpark near Seah Im Food Centre and the problem is slowly but surely spreading to other venues in Singapore.

There are public motorcycle parking lots at Claymore Road/Hill but it's usually packed and you might not be able to find a lot. A short walk to ION. Better to check with management if they have season parking.

The last time i went there(Nov), a sign was put up saying "NO ENTRY TO MOTORCYCLES". Its painted on the wall. U sure its still "enterable"?

Yup. Forum does not allow entry to motorcycles. Not only is it tough to drive and walk in Orchard, it's also a hassle to ride your bike in.

park at wisma atria? not free but cheaper than ION. previously when working at ION, i always wait for lots at wheelock until late for work. dont ever park on pavement in town, kena twice- $70 x 2. ouch haha

now i park behind luckyplaza there. near mount elizabeth medical centre taxi stand. seem safe though. so far i know there forever got alot of bike parking so i also just follow the crowd and park. Currently still finding some cheaper rates like $1.00 ++ and i will be happy to park there. But parking lot near wisma seem expensive (Taka,ION,Wisma,TANG & Hotels) I HATE WORKING IN ORCHARD!

Yup, it's probably harder to find a bike parking lot in town than one for cars. I used to work at Taka so I park at the open air carpark behind (which is no longer around). Then I went to park at Mt E. hospital for free until more and more bikes came and I got chased away by security one day. Found free parking at Liat Towers after that. Very happy, got sheltered lots and it is damn quiet, but only managed to park there a few months before being chased away (tenants only!).

 

Changed jobs, now working at Wisma, so I managed to get season parking there, thank God!

parking is always a headache in town. park at public lot scare tio squeeze and scratch. park at pavement is risky and prepare to fork out 70 anytime.

if u don't mind walking a bit far . Consider orchard hotel , FOC and outside CBD area.

 

Those parking place that u mentioned , sometime even if i saw there are slot , i will not park . You will know that your bike will be 'rape' by other riders.

i started parking at centrepoint.found da distance to n fro ION a tiresome.changed to wilson at mosque.same prob.changed to ION.da parking charges was too luxurious.changed to wisma but only for tenants.wheelock public carpark was cheap n da last resort.somemore near.....but diz **** happened.
