Help needed ( KPE )

hi there, i have been riding for about 1 mth. last friday i rode in KPE @ 10+am.

normally i would realise there's speed limit.but that day was to tired and i totally forgot abt it. den when i was going to change lane from most right to the exit to Upp.Paya Lebar road. i Saw a FLASH ! but there was cars beside me also. so i dont know if it was me or others. i check my meter and my speed was 100 at that point of time. but i dun rmb if i go at 120 before i slow down to turn to the exit.but definitly its below 120.

 

Hope anyone can help if what's the punishment i would get?

and if there's a punishment, is there any luck that i might not be caught.

KPE speed limit is 70... i think even if u are below 120... like say 115... it is still 45km/h above the limit... hope for the best... but prepare for the worst... gd luck mate...

ive been trying to find it but riding very " slowly " cause i also dont want my photograph to be taken. enough of paparazi ! heeee

In the first place why bother about others speeding when you can just ride at 70 or below.. take your time.. licence is hard to get if get revoked.. Must wait 1 year before retaking.. When you get used to speeding you will never realise your speed until it is too late.. Take your racing to the track..

well ..considering tat i travel KPE v offen , the camera in KPE is strict , but there is a limit of 20km/hr..mean u can go up to 90 km/hr. and depend on wat bike u ride, i riding a phamton a 2b bike , speedo is not accurate normally minus 10km/hr, 100km/h on the speedo is 90km/h in actual fact. i always ride at ard 90km/hr on the meter nothing will happen , but if it is 120 . most likely u r caught on camera

No lah, it's because the 2B bike meter not accurate.

And in most cases speeding 5km above the limit the TP also don't want to prosecute the case. So let go lah.

 

My Phantom at 89-90km/hr is about 73-75km/hr, according to my GPS, but I don't want to chance it in the KPE because KPE no reception, therefore no GPS signal, so I go 70-75 on my Phantom meter to be safe.

 

It's definately NOT because there is a 20km/hr limit.

it depends on ur actual speed.

i kena flashed twice already, in KPE.

received one warning letter and so far the other, its been 1mth+. so i presume, never kena.

 

i have to take KPE to get to/return frm work. and its the whole length of tunnel. from Buangkok, all the way till ECP.

 

its easy to lose concentration when u're tired.

especially after office hours, u kena the AYE/ECP jam, hot/stuff air in KPE, muz travel true speed 70km/h..

 

if u reali kena saman, letter will be mailed in 2weeks time or so.

**o 4 demerit points

**o Fine of $130/- for light vehicle and $160/- for heavy vehicle.

 

* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 21 to 30 km/h

**o 6 demerit points

**o Fine of $150/- for light vehicle and $180 for heavy vehicle.

 

* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 31 to 40 km/h

**o 8 demerit points

**o Fine of $170/- for light vehicle and $200/- for heavy vehicle.

 

* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 41 to 50 km/h

**o 12 demerit points

**o Offender will be prosecuted in Court.

 

* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 51 to 60 km/h

**o Offender will be prosecuted in Court.

The Speed Cameras Are The Two Boxes At The Top Side Corner.

 

One For Flash, The Other For The Camera Lens. Thats What I Know Coz Ive See The Flash From There Before. Usually I Wait Till I Pass By It By Several Metres Before I Speed Up.

err, i am riding SP. is the speedo really not accurate? and 12demerit points is it consided revoked? i heard ppl say that -12 points still left with 1 points, something like that.

And is it possible to check online before the letter comes?

im guessing ur 120 on sp, would be probably about 100/110 on a car. (estimate.)

 

license wont revoke but if they captured u sure kena points + fine.

 

if u damn lucky, they might just issue u a warning but for me last time when i got caught i only exceed by 13km/h.. so im not too sure for ur case. Good luck!

i dun even bother abt the 70kmh limit in kpe.. opps~

 

there are only 2 speed cameras in the whole stretch..

 

if you wan to know how they look like, you have to turn your head back and see...

 

they are housed in a big box with a BIG BIG circular opening that looks abit redish..

 

that's the one you have to look out for.
