Hi guys

I was just wondering, what is the car equivalent to a YBR125, CG125, or Pulsar?

Basically a japanese car which is cheap to buy, insure and if it ever breaks down, the parts are easy to get and cheap and every mech knows how to repair.

Thanks!

I'd say Vios then Lancer like what Tony has suggested. Nothing else.

If really really budget workhorse, those COE Corolla are usually pretty safe bets. Simple bullet proof engines.

have to see the engine condition.

6k for a car till 2011 is very cheap

consider the cheap insurance but 50% on more roadtax.

First of all, cars can never replace bikes and vice versa. They are all unique in their own ways.

But if you are looking for a reasonably cheap transport with parts easy to source and easy to repair, yet reasonably safe and practical yet some degree of performance, I will recommend the new VW Polo. The spare parts of the Polo is very easily sourceable, I can introduce you to the sites and local stockists. There are plenty of workshops who can repair it available. I can recommend a few to you and you can choose them yourself.

I think last gen Toyota Vios is the equivalent... Fit / Swift are more like 2B sport bikes already.
