i like to ask if a biker has been knock down by a car... is it a must to go idac to check the damages on the bike , can we go to our own repair shop instead? if never go in 24hrs ,is it cannot claim ?

assuming im under ntuc. on the scene of the accident, is there any hotline to call down ppl to survor the accident etc take pics and make driver in fault sign document etc ? any advise on this..

does idac really help to prevent fradulent motor claims?

true scenario:

idacs took pics of the bike, filled up sas form etc.

letter from a third-party approved claim costs breakdown from the lawyer..

the bike shop (will not be disclosed) claimed $2k under repair costs.

for changing cheap and 2nd hand parts which i estimate shd not be over $400.

can't believe tt this can happen in sg & have been happening for years.

how does it actually help us riders from the high premiums caused by fradulent claims?
