guys just wanna check if you get caught in a jam in spore..stop go traffic or crawling traffic..is it normal your temp can hit till 3/4 and finally hit the H part??

 

currently using maxima coolaide coolant... was thinking to change to either waterwatter or engine ice...

 

other than a suggestion to make a manual switch for the fan or to change the thermostat to super 4 type.. i just need to some confirmation that is normal during jam.

Go mod the thermo fan switch where the fan starts to kick in before needle reaches the half way temp gauge.

hi guys. my st 1100, 2001 version has abit of misfiring issue. when idling, i throttle, once in awhile will have a sparking kind of sound, like "piak piak". a few ppl have heard n most say its misfiring. i changed spark plugs already. also checked the spark plugs also, after using for like a month. no problems/issues as seen from the spark plug. so most likely it is some carb tuning issue.

 

ah chong from planet says its normal, n no problem. i know it is fine, but then most say it cause abit of increase in petrol consumption. my consumption is about 15km/l. so i guess it really could be better. anyone know if i can diy n tune? or bring to gopa or rosli or bikeworks?

Base on yr description, i dont think is the carb. turning! if so just tune and immediately hear the different.Do you hv the maintenance history ? Timing belt change recently...or the pulse generator faulty...

Send to a reliable wkshop, if not they will scare u off on the trouble shooting charges..

Not sure about timing belt n pulse generator. But generally how much to change these? And which mech u recommend? My fren told me bikeworkz quite good. I not sure where to go. Cause i only trust planet. Haha. N he idiot dun want help me, say no problem, which is true to a small extend. Haha.
