Yuhs. Where to get that replaved because its worn out badly and flapping around at high speeds

Depending on which model of st11.Use a duct tape to hold it down temporary. The cover may not be able to get here locally. You have much better chance buying form davidsilverspares uk. Their shipping quite fast also.

Top box for ST 11.

Hi, Im a new owner of an ST11. Have been looking around fro top boxes. May I know what are your experiences with coocase or Hepco top boxes? I need a sturdy rack for heavy load, and waterproof ones, plus interior padding if possible. These are the 2 brands I am looking at beside Givi.

Thanks for any advice.

You want a sturdy rack, important is when mounting, there must be bushing on the mounting point. I did my rack at LAB for 70. They use a givi rack for it. You check with their mechanic Jason. He is the one who did for me. After which you just mount your base plate and box. Serve me well. I using givi maxia by the way. HnB got universal rack think is 180. Padding you will have to DIY.

I AM BACK!!!!!

Hi folks,

I'm looking to buy an ST11 and recently viewed a 20 year old specimen. I need your advice on how much the following repairs will cost me:

1) Cracked rear above brake light

2) Cracked front intake below mirror

3) Damaged left slider

4) Right rear signal flicker too fast, front rear signal not working

5) Rear right brake light not working (steady light but no high-intensity light when brakes are activated)

6) Damaged clock

7) Ignition switch does not recognise key - any key, with a bit of jiggling here and there, can start bike :o

8) Bike seems to be gasping for air, with a low idling speed when started from cold. Idling speed increases as bike warms up and breathing is normal.

Your help is appreciated!

Hi guys,

Just an update. Was in JB Tebrau Tesco this afternoon for some groceries and food, park my bike at the bike parking area with CCTV, disk break lock and handle bar lock on, back after an hr, disk brake lock was gone with disk brake damaged slightly, ignition switch was pryed with a screw driver bit, damaged beyond repair.

Security people noticed x2 suspicious Malay suspects and they fled on a blue msian plate rzx when passerby noticed them as well.

I lost my first st there end'2010, this is my 2nd bike. They're targeting st and most big bikes around there according to tesco security and staff. Do be very careful when at tesco Tebrau and try avoid that place if riding your bike.

Going to change out my ignition and spend some $$$. Lesson learnt real good though, thief will always stake out same place again and again and they'll try their every chance. Malaysia everything boleh...

Sorry to hear about the incident. At least you have your ride with you .What's so special about parking in

Tesco? Open Carpark Free? There have been a number of occasions Sg bike reported stolen at the location including Harley yet pple still attempt to park there. Not sure how is the security in tesco but Better off parking at the neighboring shopping centre.

You're right abt neighboring junco, it has security that gives out ticket at entrance hence it's safer, but there're still reported loses. I was at jusco then came over tesco, my org st stolen was parked main entrance and it was still gone, when I made report at security and police end'2010, they said park at places with CCTV, this parking is open air and has CCTV, still they target it openly. Just my luck again, anyway this will be my last time @tesco on my bike, it used to be safe long time ago, it's really disappointing now with all these people & their p-force doing nothing.

Everyone do take care if you're going there.

every s.g bike is target at johore area even you lock your bike they still want to stole your bike.cant trust anyone they just see the thief open your bike. malaysia boleh

Hi Seniors,

Just bought a 2002 St11 last month. Didn't encounter any problem in Singapore riding at any speed below 110 Km/h. But on NSHW when the speed reach 130 Km/h, feel like fuel starvation. The first 2 breakdown, manage to start the bike after a few hour (when the enine cool down). It break down again yesterday and couldn't start anymore. Pls advise what can be the problems. Thanks.

Hi all!

I just bought a 2000 white ST1100 last week. Its been an extremely fun bike to ride but unfortunately, I have been having some problems at the carparks. I have short legs at 1.7m and cannot flatfoot on the ground, having problems moving the bike into the parking lots while straddling the bike on tip toe. :cry:Is there a technique for short people like us? Or do I have to get down and manhandle the bike into the lots

On a similar topic, any brothers out there modified their seats to make it lower? If yes, where is a good place I can do it? Maybe the lower seat will be helpful.

Cheers!

Mike

Hi les. Do you have any service record with the prev owner? If not I suggest you could do service cleaning the carbs and and check for coolant hoses and fuel filter for cracks .

Did the bike like stutter (choking) for fuel when at 130km or it's just not able to pull higher? Could be many reasons and some could be due to crack float bowls or fuel filter choke or hairline damage.

When u mention couldn't start, battery is flat or still have horn and lights? Could be rectifier or alternator problem so need to zero out what are the sympthoms.

Hi mike. Congrats on ride. Some pple do custome the seats to make it lower. There is a shop along the main road of Jalan besar run by a nice chap opposite great world shopping centre iirc .had good reviews before. As for pushing the bike, I suggest you don't try if you not yet familiar with the bike weight handling. No joke if it falls. Can try wearing boots if it can give the surface needed. Avoid parking at sloping areas or find flat ground could help temprorary.
