Since I am a shorty, the original seat is too high for me. Will it be funny if I cut it lower?

Is it normal for the clutch to be hard when pullling in.

Please note that our seat is not just slightly higher ... many faces this problem ....

for me ok as i 176cm tall... remember that the seat is wider then other bike...

when cut and lower the seat , it might not solve tyour problem as yet cos the

width will cos u to open our leg more ... and if cutted too much ...

the seat metal base might cause uncomfort too.....

All stock ST11 clutch is tight... unless change to adjustable 1

try to make a trip down to LC on wed night... and test out others beaST...

at least have 15 for u to try out...

Good luck bro...

razsurfer67, 219 shop does cutted seat at affordable prices, another method is u adjust ur rear spring to the min. for my case, my clutch is much better after i change the clutch/brake oil...less tension.. the kluck kluck sound.... had my gear oil changed...but any lawcheow shud noe wads the perm cure for tis prob...bushing?

centre stand, is actually easy, tried couple of trial and error for 2 mths after prolong backache and red pressed fingers each time u hold the black metal piece holder. The trick is to ensure both ur mainstand touches the ground, ur right hand holding the black bar, left hand left handlebar with wheels straighten simultaneously ur right knee support the side of the bike. momentum is important and focus more on ur right foot pressing on the mainstand and rock a bit....TADAA!! hehehehe

Gopa hp:9627 6203 off:6484 6033 service is superb, take care of ur wife like a queen.....but slitely ashparnshift...

DR Guru, u kaysiaow lar...ex mechanic can strip bike, do carb servicing, kacang puteh question bout spoilt steering cone u ask simon? hahaha farnie sia u....aniwae ur led lites damn brite and im lovin it.... taratata...im loving it...maitanlau...

Btw thankz again and again simon for ur guidance in fixin the headlite.. spend an hr plus to put the headbulb to correct position coz previously i did not put the bulb at the correct placing and it blinded motorist at nite..

Guys,

Wow, the service support here is excellent for newbie ST rider like me. Much appreciated for ur help.

At least I know my clutch is not weird coz my wrist hurts when I get into a jam like going into malaysia. Plus I just found out the coz of some problems on my bike. There is a screw missing from one of my exhaust that attached to the engine. Will get that replaced. Body vibration is caused by my fork being too hard and the need to change my front tyres.

Yes the height of the seat when riding is good but i jus hate it when I have to really tip toe at stops. Simonfrock, will call u.

Thanks for the info on Gopa, he was my mechanis long time back when he looked after my KR250 Kawasaki and RG250 Suzuki, now non existent hehehe.

Where is LC? Would like to meet up to learn more about my beast.

Again, thanks so much for the help. Where can I go to replace my windshield and how much does it cost? I heard there are several variations to it. What about accessories like mebbe backrest, security features, plus one of my locks from the box is spoilt.

I know there is a screw for the suspension. Turn it which way to lower it further? I would like to get all of this rectified before I go for some trips in June, Kuantan and Phuket at the end of this year. Is there any ST11 group outings anytime soon? Cheers! May all ST11 riders have a good day.

Welcome to ST club in advance.

we dont encourage ST1100 price discussion publicly, this is to protect dealers & sellers interest. shop around or ask around from owner for their purchase.

If the above sounds unfriendly and unhelpful, it's not my intention. Happy shopping.

goin above 200 is a bit dangerous.... did chiong at 220km/hr... felt unstable... then remind at 180.... if u need speed... st is not the bike for u... mayb haya or zx12 or bb

Bros,

Firstly, I think Bro Cool79 was referring to me hehehe. Yes I weighed the pros and cons of having a fast bike like the shortlived blackbird I had for a day. I guess I needed some form of speed which the ST does provide and yes definitely it can go above 200km/h once in a while, that's all I need actually. Largely, I am especially very happy with the COMFORT the ST has to offer. Even my daughter enjoys it which is a rarity. My sons felt that it is an old man's bike and it was a huge change coz they know my history with fast bikes especially my wife hehehehe. But I dun care, I jus love my ST now.

Bro PeerlST, thanks for the location. I know exactly where it is coz my son studies in Tg Katong Secondary School hehehe. I send him there every morning to school. So when or how regular do u guys meet and at abt wat time? Love to be there and have experienced bros advising me. Dun be surprise to see a midget like me around ok? I am very sensitive abt my size hahahaha.

Cheers! And have a nice day. God bless.

rajeh_bp,

u will experience wobbling at certain stages of riding & sometime vibration during intermediate braking.

steering cone is the moveable component joining top & bottom to ur bike chasis, located just below handle housing...

:offtopic: btw, try to maintain speed limit along Adam road ar.... it's a hot spot for the men in blue with candid camera. :D

climateous effect I should say.. :D

at cold mountainous climate I experienced consistant higher than usual rpm of 3000rpm @ 100km/h, upon Im out of mountainous terraine it all got back to the normal, FC also appreciated.

dun worry to much about it, maintaining a periodic brake/clutch fluid replacement to ensure it's performance is a must, make sure it's properly done.

To my bros of ST11,

This morning i make a terrible mistake :weep: i drop my bike ans i cant pull due to my bike ( Overweight ) im under weight !!! this is how is goes.... i wash up my bike ready to bring up the side stand then the bike i lost momentum and my bike jus fall / drop on the right side .

Well side signal abit koyak it ok the headache thing here is that now my pick up seems to have problem !!! no matter pick up or which ever gear i have kick in or even top end , the bike is like choking when ever i try to throttle more but the fuel refuse to flow, what am i suppose to do nw  ??

i did a check on all 4 spark plug holder its firmly intect even the fuel line too, what could be the reason that resulted this kind of attitude Bros ?, think i shall visit my workshop again to remedy it  cant imaging that a fall caould link to shortage of fuel and the impact wasnt strong though cos i tried my best to follow the bike all the way b4 landed on a so call ( Grass patch ) with some small tiny stones sad .:giddy:

And one last thing my full tank can travel up to 3++km/h which sink terribly while travelling at 180km/h destination is from ( JB ) to ( Ayer Hitam ) ard 110km ??? do i need a doctor to prescribe some medicine to my bike bros?
