dude, the choice is ours....SIC dont hold a gun to our head and force us to race

Bro i think u misunderstood me..

What i meant was if u really wanted to race this year in SS but due to the new ruling of one category for SS then u got no choice then just race lor... like u said no one force u to join, u have the option and the choice is ours..

Cheers!!

I like the idea of stripping the bike on random without any protest but it should be done by their team of scruiteneer.. Simple reason that most racers in MSS do not have the manpower to strip open their engine.. SIC has always talk bout bringing the cost down.. Putting the cost of stripping engine to riders will just add up the cost of racing to the racers.. In most championship series, the organizer provide their manpower to strip engine at random and assemble them back on after no fault was found.

Since they have novice for superstock, it is right to cancel the novice in superbike. But not having novice in supersports is very discouraging for the newbie.. Even worldsbk or motogp recognize rookie and there is award for rookie..

dol ,

rookie and novice riders are not the same

But I do believe with having "Novice" cat for supersport, SIC would see more entries from the other side of their causeway even though this wont help in their search of Moto2/125 wildcard entrants

Nils, wat u think of the overall tech n rules?

Overall for the series, I think it is better than what was before as this will make it more interesting for more serious participants/sponsors (for the record, I do not consider myself that serious). I think this was always SIC's goal for this series. However, it is not the first time this has been tried. It is a fine line they are walking. They can easily lose their base group of participants (the privateer/club racers) and then all that are left are a few professional riders filling only 1 or 2 rows on the grid.

I am personally a bit against a novice class, because IMHO it seems a bit strange to be winning something the first time you try it. However, there should be some kind of grading system like they have in other countries. Rookies should naturally be classed lowest and then graduate by ability not by experience.

SIC is obviously trying and hopefully the commercial interest in the series will also increase accordingly. The MSS is still the best/only alternative we have for now. However, in general it is a bit difficult to complain about the best thing you have.

Dude,

It is simple:

When asked to strip the bike by SIC, all you need to say is that you dont have the people to do it and you dont have the budget to hire a mechanic.

Then if they are serious, they will find someone to strip it, or they will/get a protester to put up the RM1000 deposit.

When everything checks out, you use the RM1000 to pay off the work.

But if it does not check out, that person is f*cked and so a cheater should be.

Comparing MSS to MotoGP and WSBK in thsi scenario is like apples and oranges - not fair. It is unreasonable to expect them to follow their example when that formula does not apply here/when the MSS is not as developed/when the MSS does not have the budget that they have...etc

Their main goal is to find the future MotoGP champion, which I think takes A LITTLE more precedence over pleasing a small bunch of us, especially when there is a limted budget.

Reality bites.

just buy the best racing fuel, some nitrous oxide to boost the rpm on the straights, fully done up engine so u save the trouble, and then u walk around the grid saying ur bike is stock. everyone will belief u, and no one will protest.
