I actually had many quiries by PM at ADVriders about converting the TDM to something more fun with all round capabilities options....

Here's latest one....he is from South America,Chile...Jorge.

I've recommend him the Anakee rear and Sirac front...so,now looking at his bike, looks like Kmax's.

anyways if a lot of people, we won't go for a swim... anyways its a biking trip so its abt enjoying the ride that matters... still looking out for durians!!!

It will likely to be crowded. Been there once on a weekend public holiday, but did not managed to make it to the top because it was very crowded.

The road leading through that entrance is narrow although it is two way lane. When it is jam with vehicles, even bikes will have difficult time going through. Can be scary to manuever when on the steep slopes and the side-off-road are steep as well.

Some time back, I've came to this TDM thread inquiring on dual purpose capabilities. I did not get a TDM that time after test riding one. The seat height is a challenge.

Now, I'm still toying the idea of getting a TDM and setting it up for dual purpose riding. Currently, I'm riding a Ducati ST3, but changing my riding preference to a bike that can luggage space, do miles and able to go light off-road occasionally.

Would anyone care to share how can seat height be reduced? How about getting a aft-mkt seat?

Thank you.

I still can't find a perfect engine than the TDM900 engine...the Honda's that i used to ride and currently having,it's overbuilt in shape and even the engine looks builky and heavy.

The TDM engine is compact, light, and enuff grunt to make you smile from end to end.

Tomorow....i will be doing the Transfer of the XTZ750 tomoro...still,quite a bulky bike...but have tested it,it's much lighter than the AT,yet, the parallel twin 750 yamaha engine seems to be giving more power than the AT....it's like comparing an XR400R and a WR400F.

Well....I got to own 1 1st then i can be sure what I would be believing.

I would be riding the grandaddy of the TDM...:shy:

Ah, my homey...recession my *&£!!! Even ride without plates so no need to pay tax! Recession is just a good reason to complain that they don't have enough, no matter how much they have. Will never stop them from doing what they want anyway. My friends tell me that the shops (Gucci, Armani, LV) are full of customers as always as well as the restaurants.

Can't wait to see how they will mod (which is inevitable) this perfect machine!... Turbo charged Tenera anyone? :D

1.63M in height. I think inseam is about 67cm (26inch). Taller bikes I've tried are R1100S, XR4 and current ST3. XR4 is ok because it is lighter, but I've to be very carefull with both the BMW and ST3.

Guys, I've ordered my side cover from the yamaha dealership along serangoon road.. It's only SGD13.50.. =0) Cheaper than the stickers man!

I'm 1.64. Never check my crotch to toe length, but with the right cutting and shifting on butt, it's not a problem. Note though, dual sports tyre will make your bike higher.

Sorry guys, super busy. Haven't been keeping up with you guys.

Thanks for sharing. Yah - my current bike I also have to slide butt left-to-right and vice versa.

When you state "with the right cutting", do you mean cutting the seat reduce the thickness?
