Hi to all TDM owners, can someone advise me how to solve the low rev problem for TDM?

Hiwaystar, are you talking about the jerkiness at low revs....if so, that is easily fixed by setting the mixture a bit richer....it comes very lean from the factory to meet EU emission.

The work shop manual tell how to do it...you don't have to do anything but push some buttons on the dash. I have done 3 TDMs now ...it transforms them

cheers

Hey TDM-ers, hope someone is out there to help me with a problem with my TDM.

Am riding a white TDM (look like TP bike) and I was wondering does anyone here how to troubleshoot high fuel consumption for my TDM? The jump in FC (initial FC was 20km/L, now is like 18+km/L). Actually it was much worse (16+km/L) and I change a few stuff according to my mech (Planet Motor) but still cannot get back my initial FC.

1.) I changed Fuel injectors (this gave the greatest improvement but still not enough)

2.) changed EO

3.) Washed Fuel Pump

4.) Washed Air filter

I was wondering am I missing anything that I can repair/change. Any advice?

Wow you changed Fuel Injectors? whats the $$$ damage?

How about the idling?, you can adjust the knob right side of bike below the tank, these things you already know, Luggage weight. Expressway or street riding, throttle control, 1 up 2 up riding If you the sort like big bro Paikia here, café racer type..well…….fc definitely will be affected**wink

If you are riding the all white TP Tdm, chances are perhaps you are due for top valve clearance. Throttle Synchronization. Do a one time good one. I mean to share that you do all these costly operations as a last resort...you don't have to do it but I mean it will give you peace of mind. As usual I recommend Combine motors at Sin Ming. Expensive but will solve all your engine idle cut off issue, low rev cut off issue, too high FC….

NC750x now that’s a different category….class 2 with class2b fc….heard a lot of Japanese despatches use NC for courier..

What is the low rev problem? you mean too low rev then your engine cuts off? if thats the case, then check your idling knob...you got to set it to 1k or 1.1k safe range...any lower and our tdm will just engine cut...

Hi Bro. Better to use fully synthetic engine oil. As mention about the rpm need to increase to 1.1k.

It's the characteristic of a parallel twin engine...

Don't need any $$$ mod = keep rev around 2k and above

Air box intake mod...

If you willing to spend $$$

Some Ang Mo change their throttle system, works even on FRJ... Google a around

Blip the throttle when at low revs. It's just a matter of understanding your bike. You can adjust the idling flow too. TDM is good cos there's a knob underneath the fuel tank at the right side which u can increase the fuel intake.

hey TDM brothers! Can i get an update on the 'climate' on the legal/non-legal exhaust in sg? As in are the men in white still clamping down hard on non-legal exhaust now compared to 2yrs ago? Was away for 2yrs...

Cos i'm contemplating on getting a quality, well priced exhaust online or buying an expensive legal one from shops here...

Off-hand, anyone one got a list of legal ones?

the price is not updated. LV Alu is about $1100 liao.

saw before remus / laser / LV.

the Laser i saw is kitted with a tdm with side panniers.

remus is bassy as compared to LV, if i can recall the sound.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Spenx you are back!!! wow 2 years is a long time...deployed to combat zone??

If you want to get online, correct me if I am wrong, it is a hassle to chase the overseas vendor for formal documentation that Black&White states that this exhaust meets all the carbon emission standards or meets the TDM 900 specifically etc etc...LTA needs those documents before approval. No B&W=no approval..kifax managed to source an interest free installment from unique motor for ALU fyi

Thanks Bro, found the ebay seller that ships the exhaust with EU homogolation cert for TDM. I believe that is good enuf for LTA?
