You should take a look at websites that cover Plasticine and clay modelling. Until recently it was a professional job, cars for example were moulded from clay in scale models from the paper designs. Then a fulll size model was made in clay and measured to produce tooling.

Quite a sight seeing a full size Merceded in clay

first motor at ubi road 1. very near tp. but i looking for cheaper alternative and more importantly, no need to leave my bike there. just go, take measurements, few weeks later go back take the fairing.
