Wargh! Paintball session

Heyos all.

My brother is organizing a paintball session with Wargh!, a local scenario-based paintball company.

I posted it in Malaysia section as it will be held in Malaysia (somewhere in JB, I understand).

Date has been set as 28th March 2010 (Sunday).

I'm trying to get more details but the meetup place is at Kranji MRT. There is transport provided but its paid. Self-transport is welcomed to join in the convoy trip to the location.

 

There is no limit to number of participants.

Level 3 Game, U Better Have Enough Balls!

Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Austin Hills Golf Resort

City/Town: Johor Bahru, Malaysia

 

This is a level 3 game, while we don't advise fresh players to join in on this game, those who are looking to be challenged are welcome to sign up

Scenario Paintball is totally different from the usual paintball games you have played in Singapore. The Wargh!Zone is set amidst natural terrain and forest with bunkers and unlike paintball places in Singapore, there is no middle line dividing each half of the battlefield thus allowing for flanking maneuvers and ambushes along the trails. This will be the closest you will ever come to a real battlefield.

 

Charges per Pax - SG$50 inclusive of...

- Registration Fee

- Protective Mask

- Protective Vest (for ladies)

- Paintball Marker

- 500 paintballs

 

*Additional Paintballs

500 balls = RM75

1x box = 2000 balls = RM220

 

**Transportation - Kranji MRT/Bt Ramly/Kranji MRT @ SG$30

 

Those with own transport are welcomed to convoy up.

 

*Level 1 - Every player uses a rental mechanical marker

*Level 2 - 50-50 mix of players with rental markers and personal markers

*Level 3 - 90% of players using personal markers with higher rate of fire

 

Although its recommended as a Level 3 for players with own markers (guns), newbies and intermediates (like me) who rent markers are still welcome to join and play.

Its a whole day event.

$50 for 500 balls per person is rather value-for-dollar if you ask me.

Oh, and there is no uniform requirements. But being an active and technically contact sport (a paintball hitting you at full speed is a non-forgettable experience), do dress for protection.

Paintball marker is essentially the 'gun' used in paintballing.

Its called a marker coz the original intention for the paintball marker is for forest rangers to mark trails / trees in a forest using a high-velocity marker that shoots paintballs without having to go to the tree / trail mark and spray with a spraycan.

But someone came up with the idea to redesign it for paintballing purposes and the rest is history.

 

Although its tagged as a Level 3 game, newbies are still welcome. I don't think its a major obstacle to join in.

it's definitely not fun to hav 15balls flying towards your direction in a couple of seconds, especially with personal markers..
