From DAY 1, the stock market is oredi never a level playing field. You loose money is normal. If u can continuosly making $ out of it, then it's very abnormal. There are more than 3000 qualified TRs in front of their terminals watching the mkt movement every trading day. Juz imagine when u see it, how many pairs of eyes have oredi seen it. When u key 1 order thru the internet, i can oredi key at least 10 orders and u are still waiting for the pop-out confirmation screen. This is call "speed of execution". When u overnite a counter becos u can't sell it, can u get the 1st queue next day to sell back same price even though Dow crash ? This is call "fighting for 1st queue".

 

The qualified TRs dun pay the terminal every month for nothing. They dun have to struggle and pass 3 papers for nothing. They definately have an edge over retail investors.

 

If that's the case, many people ask mi how can we win them ? Well, in my personal opinion, there's onli 1 way to win them in the long run... That is "To Buy & Hold". If u r thinking of winning them thru contra trades, the chances is, u loose more than u win. Many retailers got over-excited after winning a few more bids and thot they are above the clouds. Some try to teach TRs how to suck eggs... but they never know ur winning of 10 bids in a counter can't even match the TR winning of 2 bids in the same counter.

 

There are many things in this Stock Mkt... What u read in SI are onli some clowns "know little bit thot they know ka leow" info. I onli mentioned some of it becos some of my brothers here will not be happy i keep publicly posting here. Brothers here... pai-seh pai-seh..

TRs are also humans... They too get emotional at times. If you're big enough, you can have DMA and ur order flows as fast as the TR's terminal. Plus you've got almost the best rates, rates like 0.04%.. perfect for those who scalp the market..

well.. i suppose he was referring to part-time investors with web-access, to be ahead of the crowd in queue..

 

may be not in option and forex, but in SGX ST...there are tons of people trying to queue at pre-open.. or any price that matters..

All the little players buying in, and hoping for a big fish to jump in and buy in and jack the price up. Then the little guys will play with time and luck to see who jumps out last and at the highest possible point before big fish abandons ship and it all goes down faster than the Titanic.

 

That's the fun of penny stocks. 1 cent movement can kick you in the ass hard.

I am not bearish but believe that market volatility will continue to exist and also prices currently are tipping the scales already.

Just took profits on CDL Hosp Reit.

12% in 2 weeks, not too bad.

Got no data on AUD/SGD, only EUR/USD & EUR/GBP

 

 

eur/usd should make a clear break abv 1.433 resistance level, prob to 1.445 or higher.

 

Eur/gbp also another long recommendation, esp after breaking .87 yesterday.

with few more important fundamentals upcoming, i feel it will go sideways for now

equities were +ve the whole night and crude dropped the moment NY opened.

 

it fell from yesterdays high of 75 to 71.11 after API figures were released at 430.

 

its been a while since there has been such a bearish divergence.

 

i would be cautious on going long as the mkt looks weak with mixed signals, the fundamentals in the last 3mths, in my opinion were not outright "positive" enough to push the markets to current levels.
