it is oversea gold investment program which is a 12mths terms, you wun find it in any local investment organization, i also learnt abt it from fren. basic 100g u buy-in, there is a mthly of 12% or 12g of gold) dividends where you can choose to withdraws in phyiscal gold or convert to cash but the amount will be depending on the prevailing mkt price. So in total of 44% or 144g of gold returns in 12mths. i choose to keep the gold at home coz i dt investing in large amount..I only invested 200g.

 

This may sounds kind of scam to many esp for someone like yourself with experience financial sector and investment. Like we all know, investment is a risk, no risk no gain. and ix up to individual on how much risk he willing to take. Even DBS high notes, lehmans brother mini bonds is so trusted and approved investment by MAS..but so wat... those investors still can't get anything back in the end. I did thought ix a scam too initially, but then like I mentioned ix how much risk one is willing to take, so the risk here is if this is reali a scam n the company run away... get noting back. I can take tis risk, coz i play with wat i can afford to lose. so i am lucky so far..hehe

Penny stocks heaven... Conservative ( balless ) ppl like me don't really make money leh... I'm still accumulating on Areit. Technically, the uptrend channel is still pretty intact.. Plus the gap at 1.75 have yet to close..

 

Side track, Any one has any view on Sing holdings?

Can anyone share how to utilize the portion of CPF for GOLD investment?

Can it be use to buy Streetracks Gold ETF or something similiar (i.e UOB Gold fund etc)? thanks!

My understanding is that cpf ordinary account cannot be used to purchase the streettracks Gold ETF. I might be wrong though. Better to call SGX to clarify. More details can be found here

I'm very sure streettracks Gold ETF is under CPF investment scheme. But since CPF limits 35% for stocks & 10% Gold, I wanted be sure if they are counted under which.

 

Anyway, I should be answers from CPF or my broker soon

Penny stocks really are volatile. I was watching one of these counters today. Tried my luck and queued 40 lots for a tick lower at the spread. No fish bit. Nobody wants to even lose that single tick. Good volume, so I guess those who're buying/selling are going in and out every other hour for quick small gains.

RSI looks at a all time low.

Price way below 20/50 d.ma.

Based on the last 58yrs, Sept is the worst mth of the yr for US mks.

 

On avg, the S&P & Dow have lost abt -1.3% and -1.2% respectively for the final mth of the 3rd qtr.

 

Based on daily avgs going back to 1896, the Dow has lost ground nearly 3 out of every 4 days in Sept. The ratio gets worst in the 2nd half of the mth.

timing is crucial due to 2 other reasons.

 

2 reasons.

 

1. opec meeting wed, likely to drive things up for a minor rebound, before falling off.

2 3rd qtr close, in general tend to close off slightly higher than normal mths.

 

either buy now or mid oct if Q3 closes high.

I dunno man. Generally penny stocks don't really have any fundamentals. Some of their movements don't make any sense. It's pure speculation. Like a lottery. But with higher stakes.

 

Just keep in mind that every tick is a substantial percentage.
