IMO, get a cheap pre 08 model and load in 6k neccessary repair and some basic mods with standalone ECU, is good enough because the beast with so much power not everyone can max out and handle it well. :p

ya that i cant maintain with some on you...

so hard, so get a 06 model will do :p

You mean to say that you are buying a 2000 model in March or you already have one but must wait until March then can ride?

Anyway, there would be 10001 different advice given to you here, so take everything with a pinch of salt ya?

Check the brakes pads, hoses. Anything leaking or worn, change.

Engine oil, brake fluid, clutch fluid, coolant - ALL Change. You dun know how long the fluids have been inside there.

Tyres - Just because they look new does not mean that they still can be used. Old tyres can look brand new but its harden thus may crack or be shredded at high speed. You would not want your tyres to burst when you are in 6th gear, 11k RPM. Check the tyre walls for manufactured date.

Check the air filter, if its stock one, change either to another stock or you may opt for aftermarket Hi flow air filter. If yours already have aftermarket air filter installed, take it out for cleaning.

Check your bike mileage, more than 30000km, go for valve clearance, shim adjustment, cam chain tensioner adjustment.

Check all your wheel bearings, change if need to.

Thats all I remember for now lah, you can choose to follow everything, something or nothing at all. Some riders here are very particular with the bikes and would spend lotsa time and money replacing stuff on the bikes. Some riders here are very bo chup people who change only that part die die must be changed.

Me? I'm somewhere in between.:cheeky:
