its all up to u...

 

there are some who will say mainstand is good... others will say no use... both got their own good points/reasons.. most impt is y do u want to install it for? then if u think its good then go ahead.... :p

agreed, personally I find it useful when it comes to maintenance, such as lubing the chain, cleaning the rims, or when i need to upright the bike for whatever reasons. Especially when going touring.

 

If you think you have no use for it... such as you use scottoiler, then no point fixing it and carry that extra weight.

AKG has 1, but how often do u think u need to use a mainstand and when/what prompt u to get 1?

 

For me, when i oil my chain, I will always think of a mainstand, when i wash my bike, i will always think of a mainstand. But because i have a car jack, washing average twice a month, mainstand not so cirtical for me. Oiling the chain ? I just installed a scottoiler...

 

Think how much u need it loh. The other factor will be, if u park your bike for 3-5 days without riding, then go get a main stand.

Just sharing my 0.000000000000000002cents worth of experience...

 

If you park your bike on main-stand and cover it with a bike cover, it will be a very cosy warm environment for cats to sleep on.

 

I parked my ride for two days, covering it with bike cover, my seat and pillion seat became a cosy nice warm sleeping place for the cats.

 

But then, it will be kind of useful when I am pumping petrol. No need to "grip gas tank and shake, shake for the petrol to sink into the petrol tank"... heehee... :)

Lol, mine use to be like that coz my carpark got many cats, someone taught me a trick, secure a plasticbag on the seat, after that no cats come n sleep anymore :D

Ok... Ok... Thanks for advice, Tish... I will try next time. So that I won't get nice little paws marks and urine stains on both my seats.. :cry:

Don't later we pump petrol, then we grip tank, shake...

Then lost balance, bike drop, then we really gong gong that time sial... :)

hahaha.... ya I know must go for kopi session then can ask chim questions...that's why I never ask any...

apply some medicated oil on yr seat the cats hate it. :angel:
