Anyway, I got another observation which I think I need to be concern about... My bike is leaking oil.... whenever I go and get my bike, I will always notice a few drops of black oil at the area directly below the side stand. I noticed that the top part of my side stand is very dirty and oily..

Could that few drops of oil come from a leaky engine? If so, is there anything I can do to remedy it? Could it be that the mechanic never tighten the screw back properly after he release the old engine oil?

Check your screw. If it is stain with engine oil, clean it up. Check again the next day.

Best is remove fairings and clean up the whole damn undercarriage or where ever u find oil stains to be sure of where the leak is from.

If it is really leaking from there;

- yes, mechanic might not have screw back properly

- screw thread are worn (very common)

- oil sump screw thread worn (very common)

If it is really the screw thread worn,

Solutions;

- bear with it til next oil change

- constantly checking your engine oil level (everyday to be safe)

- change new oil sump together with a new screw (very costly)

- change a new screw (cheaper alternative)

- use those white thin strips used by plumbers to prevent water leakages in pipes connections (very useful and don't cost you!)

Cheers!

Hi to all! My busa has hit the 100,000km mileage.

Question:

What should I do for my next servicing?

And approximately how much would it cost?

Recommendations?

Thanks for all input! Cheers and ride safe!

Well, i can only advise that u do not have to think of anything to do specially for 100k km. Just continue on ur normal servicing as recommended by servicing manual is good enuff.

base on your description. it could due to your over opening of you scott oiler. reduce the no to abt setting 3 and see how but clean off the oil at the side stand 1st. why i say so is because the oil drain screw is nearer to the right side of the bike then the side stand.

if u are doing a 2nd fan mod. do it parrellel so that the fan will cool it down faster when it is on instead of on it via switch etc too much load for the bike given that busa only got 400w power to used.

power consumed by the fan is the same as it is always parallel with respect to the battery... so there's no diff in how you connect it, it's juz how the fan is switched on...

Juz as I've thought...

there's the cheap alternative of simply doing the valve clearance and replacing timing chain and tensioner

or there's the more costly alternative of replace all the internal bearings and journal (eg, crankshaft journal, conrod journal, camshaft journal, transmission bearings) , changing of piston rings and all the hoses (coolant, fuel and vacuum hoses) and all the filters (fuel pump)...

or the free alternative of not fixing anything unless it's spoilt... :cheeky:

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

I've a leaking front tyre which still leaks after 2 patch-up sessions. Any advice besides replacing the tyre? It's less than a month old and would be a waste if the only option left is to replace it.

If you ride your haya the way it's made to be, please change your tyre for your own safety. Tyre patch are temporarily and are not Z rated. It's going to wear off in a week.

If your haya is just a bike from point A - B in SG, everyday pump up the tyre to recommended pressure. Wait til tyre is balding then change. But if you are going to ride the bike within 3000rpm range and inside SG, I believe your front tyre is going to last you for quite some time.

After 2 patches and it still leaks? You used tyre worms or did you do a cold patch (patch from inside)?

Another area where the leak could be coming from would be the tyre valve itself, did you check it?

If I were you, I would hesitate (alot) before deciding to go fast on a tyre thats been patched multiple times. Well... thats just me and my paranoid alter-ego speaking. :giddy:

juz kidding bro

Yes, I'm changing soon.

But to supermoto. No more high speed thrills and trips.

And yes, most likely it will still be a Suzuki.

Look at the .gif image on kaieiru singature. Supermoto style! Definitely will not attempt to do that on a busa.

eh... i think its really better to change the front tyre.. if not you will constantly be worried. And its very dangerous too... :giddy:

I usually ride the bike in the latter situation only very occasionally the former. You're right about the safety issue. Going to the bike shop tomorrow to do a thorough check on it before the final decision is made up.

I used the tyre worms. May be going for the cold patch tomorrow should the condition of the tyre permits. You're not alone, man. I'm wary of the way I ride when the tyre got patched up.

That is the best choice but before going to that I wanna try another alternative which is the cold patch. Now if that fails altogether, goodbye tyre  ... the miracle work of a nail :giddy: .

Thanx for the advice y'all...

SM!! Another favourite of mine, though, I prefer the off-roads type... still, the wonders of the new SM models are making me drool.
