Drag Race Chain

EK drag racing chains can rightfully be called the fastest chains in the world. Top Fuel champion Larry “Spiderman” McBride set a world record E.T. of 5.876 seconds using the EK 630SHB chain. The EK 530DRZ has achieved a terminal velocity of 338.269 mph on Sam Wheeler’s E-Z-Hook Streamliner at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The EK 530DRZ is also the choice of more top NHRA Pro Stock motorcycle racers than any other chain.

DR series (DRZ, DR2 etc) is Drag Race Chain High tensile strength, heavy chain, non sealed for more power

530DRZ2: The Pro Stock Racer’s Choice

Designed in conjunction with Pierre Elliott of Diamond Powersports, the EK 530DRZ is chosen by more top NHRA Pro Stock Bike competitors than any other chain. The reason is simple: When a championship is on the line, you can’t afford a failure. In 2004, Sam Wheeler used the 530DRZ in recording the fastest-ever terminal speed for a two-wheel vehicle: 338.269mph!

Recommended application: drag racing up to 300hp

Tensile strength: 11,500 lbs.

Available lengths: up to 160 links

RX and RXO is Street Racing Chain Light weight, sealed or non sealed, average tensile strength

Our RX-series chains are designed specifically for racers who need to shave every ounce from their bikes and don’t mind replacing their chains on a regular basis. The RX chains are similar to the RXO line, but RX chains have no O-ring seals, saving up to half-a-pound versus their sealed counterparts.

Recommended application: up to 600cc/120hp for 520RX; up to 750cc/150hp for 530RX

Available colors: gold, chrome

Tensile strength: 8400lbs. for 520RX; 9400 lbs. for 530RX

http://boostbysmith.com/cush%204.JPG

These KPS Cush Drive Rubbers are much stronger than the stock OE units. If you dragrace or have a lot of hp and go through OEM rubbers on a regular basis these are what you need, they will far outlast the stock ones.

http://secure.mycart.net/product_images/catalog2486/sen1001.jpg

These special racing cush drive dampers provide improved performance, better reaction time at the drag strip, and 4 times the durability of the stock OEM rubber. This rubber compound will hold its shape over time and resist the abuse of modern day motorcycles.

Whether you are drag racing, cruising the street or use your bike as a daily driver, you will benefit from these cush drive dampers.

Made in the USA!

* Improved Performance

* Great Durability

* Better Reaction Time

* Holds It's Shape Over Time

* Set of 6

Any diff between the 2?

Bro, its not a matter of "throw" or "dun throw" clutch and rev the throttle hard, its more of a wear and tear issue on the cush drives. Whether to change to something to more heavy duty or lasting, or to OEM is very subjective to individuals. Let's say, my stock cush drives can last me 30K based on my riding style (street and highway riding with no track days, no throwing of clutch or hard rev often), a set of heavy duty cush drives will definitely last me longer. Juz my 2 cents. :)

how do you guys handle your clutch? do you all always throw clutch? does it aid in acceleration or purely a personal habit? I never throw clutch before.... from 2b all the way to class 2.. always release gently... throw clutch heart pain... :D

Am I doing it right?

Go for heavy duty cush drives and high tensile strength chain with heavy duty sprockets and it should last u longer than u would expect it to be. Another bonus point if u have oiler installed for continuous lubing of your drive chain. :thumb:

Briefly scan thru the page but it didnt mention about DID. Which model in DID would u guys recommend.

Usually I'm gently on moving off from stop position, but once the wheel is rolling, will open up throttle more as the rear sprocket and chain is already "tighten". My previous bike chain wears alot thats why I'm concern on moving off thats all :)

Another point i noted that will stress the chain is flying thru a hump, when ur rotating rear wheel is in mid air and land on the ground causing tyre to sudden friction from tarmac.

it is all back to the basics and our roots. when you first learned how to ride a bike at a driving centre, they do not ask you to throw your clutch right? so dun throw. unless..... you want to wheelie la or damage your clutch plates la or nothing to do la or backside itchy la (but i can scratch for you). :angel:
