in the recent bike asia, i got myself sw motec and h&b, gift from my gf :) lovely gf too. hehe

1) brand of the boxes - H&B

2) capacity of the boxes - junior flash, 40L. there is 30L but cant fit full face.

3) methods of fitting the boxes - by SW motec, removal rack in abt 10min.

4) cost - $1013 rack and box.

5) stability during riding - nt yet try but shld be ok. but take note that it's width is abt the car thus dun expect to squeeze traffic like no other business.

currently tish and akg got the setup. we 3 always threesome thus i have join them.

got another frd after8 also got his rear box. rack is abt $200 box depends on ur need. his is E52.

maybe i'll give M3 a try on the next tyre change. so far, i'm very happy with the 2CT. very sharp control on the corners. super grippy. even on a moderate dry surface. stable on high speed corners of about 200kmh. best still, get a 55mm profile which i'm having. so nice to lean into the corners.:thumb:

how about the bt016? i believe the 08 busa is equipped with these. i read somewhere its a 5-layered compound on the rear, 3-layer front(like 2ct), any review on this tyre??

updates on Motty AFR Tuner

1.1k sgd (dependent on exchange rate may be slightly lower/higher)

includes the following

- main unit

- GST

- shipping

does not include

- Bosch O2 sensor (will be sourcing for it locally to reduce cost)

- plug and play harness

can our existing exhaust O2 sensor be used? or this other one meant for a different location?

u can use the existing 02 sensor location.. but need to get a different sensor..

a wideband one instead of the stock narrow band sensor..

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

So far do you have any prob with Metz tires? i was considering M3 too but was told that metz tires' grip is not so good and easy to skid.. got a few frens all skid on metz tires... Or is busa heavy enuff to make sure the metz tires grip the road tight? :D

Once skided a bit at Cameron Highlands under hard cornering uphill. Nothing serious thought, get the grip right back, not sure if it was the tire or the road that caused it. Other than that no any other problem ever.

i think tish box size is still acceptable if your box can put a helmet in then its way too big fr a busa.. if u wan boxes to fit a helemt then i am sorry to say that u got the wrong bike. the boxes will cause all sorts of instability issues at high speeds. :giddy:

Wow! 18,000km still on stock tires! You must be a super smooth rider. Mine is at 24,000km and I'm going to change tires for the 3rd time very soon. NONE of the tires has grip in wet. So do not waste your time checking on wet. You have 160-170 BHP on your rear wheel, do you think any tire will hold you on wet with such BHP?

M3 longer life smoother cornering. 2CT shorter life, sharper cornering and a bit better grip. If you are not into cornering you will find 2CT very difficult tyres to ride on. I suggest you go for M3.

hahaha.. I too changed to new tires after clocking abt 19,000km on the stock ones.. :cheeky:

anyway guys where can i get main stand for my busa ? what are the price range like ?

About $150 DIY if i remember correctly. Kelvin_luff has done it.. can ask him. You also wanna fix main stand??? I tried lifting my fren's busa onto a main stand and I am glad i did not buy one... :faint:

Double-UZ - I got mine at KS Motor situated opposite Regina. Price was S$135 after bargaining w/o installation.

as for installation, u can either DIY (free) or pay someone to do it for u (mine was S$20)

Friedfishz - hahahahaha :cheeky: thr's really a technique to lifting ur bike onto the mainstand. U dun nid to have great strength to do so..

having a mainstand can be quite useful..
