1. To hit 330km/hr (true landspeed, not the one indicated on the meter), with the busa, it requires about 200 rear wheel hp. This is considered the minimum given busa's aerodynamic designs, on the R1 you are looking at around 222+rwhp or more to hit a true 330km/hr. This is because as you hit 300km/hr, to go an additional 2km/hr, the power required to overcome the aerodynamic drag is cubed.

2. A stock hayabusa on stock gearing (17/40) will hit 221km/hr only at redline (assuming no tyre slippage - which is quite difficult when going at highspeed.. )

a. Your that friend either has changed the gearing (17/31) which will give a 3rd gear redline of 285.2km/hr (and top speed on 6th gear 417km/hr) - this is at the expense of the torque, as you can easily roll and win him on any gear using a CBR400 :dot:

ALL AND FOR ALL, YOUR ONLINE FRIENDS ARE BLOWING A LOT OF HOT AIR. TELL THEM WITH ALL THAT HOT AIR, THEY ARE MAKING MORE POWER THAN A TURBOCHARGER.

PS: Pls pardon my straightforwardness..

Wahahahaha speaks like a real teacher

Yoaz bros of busa,ve a question coz i blur blur after hearing,a online frnd of mine in kia-picanto forum post tat his R1 can hit 330km/hr which is we know not quite possible unless heavily mods done but still not tat possible...n another said his stock 04haya can hit 280km/hr on 3rd gear....04 stock machine really tat powerful after doing wat TSP break-in ar?

bro,

my frds have all said...

i only know for busa is the world fastest bike but we nv claim we can hit 330km/h

yet an R1 04-06 would claim that he can hit.

i would sure like to meet how he end his life early...

wearing slipper and bermuda.

Presenting to all Mr 330km/h on R1 posted by u.

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=60557&d=1209468370

anyway....

we and the R1 will not try to see if our bike can hit 330km/h

we all know our limit. and we know what our bike can do.

we are all mature adult.

u may ask your fast bike frd to go usa for the drag race etc to win the title for us. haha

eh keratsini,im not playing nor toying any1 here,as a rider myself,i juz wanted to confirmed wat ppl told me coz i din ride busa b4,kindly explain to me y i muz bring my topic away since im asking abt busa issue?Ve ppl claim tat their bike can go tat fast n tats wat i thk most riders of same model wanted to noe how unless u belongs to the superclass which shows in the youtube bro,

respect urself n respect others, chasing a person away with questions abt busa is not tat nice.ts is all,i will not debate with u in public.ve a nice day

You are NOT asking about Busa issue. You are asking us to debate to someones stupidity. In this forum are those interested on Hayabusas and NOT spead freaks. We like our busas for many reasons, some of us we like the design, others the speed can deliver and so on. Do you really think we will bother keep explaining if a Buse can hit 280km/hr on the 3rd gear and if R1 can reach 400 km/hr? Do you think because we ride Busas we are obligated to reply to any stupid myth is out there? You are right "respect ourself and respect others", but here you got a reply with facts and you continue to repeat your question. For crying out loud do a self seach on the web to find the anwer. Is better than comming here like a "crying kid" and puting questions that someone without clue whatsoever on bikes has presented to you. If the R1 (stock) can hit 400km/hr then tell to that person to place Sing$50,000 and I will come up with the same amount and let's test that bike. He who has reached 280km/hr on 3rd gear with a stock Busa should put the same amount of money.

Till then this issue is closed.

Hi everyone..as mention by the 'cry baby" the mention busa tat hit 3rd gear at 280kmh is mi.I dare to say it becos i did it by myself during the break in of my engine when i got my brand new busa at 2003 aug..as say by bro kaieiru he mention tat was in trus landspeed..but wat i am looking at is the meter indicated speed which might not be true.it could be slower then the speed i quote. it may sound unbelievable but u can give it a try.but u must bear the amount of torque the engine is giving at that speed n RPM.. 3rd gear at 5000rpm is already bit unbearable. but i have to do it repeatly until e rpm hit the red zone..so i hope to clarify tat the 280kmh quote may not be a true speed..so dont think too much...

I agree with bro kaieiru tat everyone here like their busa somewhere or another.i still like to get a busa if i am goin to get a bike..onli busa n not other bike.cos of the comfort level it can give when touring long distance n give u the speed n maneouvriblity of the bike..so far there izzit many busa with side box..i use to put 2big Givi side box which make the bike look like plane.haha,.cheers to all busa rider...

hi,

I'm quite interested to see how the stock bike can hit 280kph even though its on meter... i'm pretty sure most of us will be wondering too..

is your bike still able to do tat? do you mind showing us? I got a fairly accurate speedometer and a device for logging the speed, if you don't mind can let us open our eyes to such a rare bike? :thumb:

there's also the easy way of simply jacking up the rear wheel on mainstand and rev the bike in 3rd to the rpm, speed will be shown...

Simply jack up the rear wheel i have done it so many time as i have my own jack at home.there isnt a need to show as it is nothing pround of..n i am not here trying to proven anything....FYI..i have already sold my bike away at in 2004 and i have quit biking since then.if u dont belive my story u can check with the forum ex own ANDY..if u wanna knw whether if the bike still survive, the plate number is FX3174...It was bought at TSP..can ask the boss patrick..i took the bike out for 30min and i complete the 1st stage break in of 50km...i start from his shop and from there i enter TPE (lor halus)head toward SLE woodland.all the way max is 3rd gear..by the end of complete the run i end up at kaniji Race course there.n slowly head back to TSP to change my engine oil..

well, cuz it something really out of the ordinary.. and way off the specification of the standard stock hayabusa. obviously will be curious to see la..

since it sold and you stop riding, it'll remain a mystery then..

sorry i have to see it to believe... its juz too unbelieveable...

maybe if the new owner is around, he/she can solve the mystery...

cheers..
