see how the engine blow lo... piston hole? broken conrod? bent crankshaft? piston meet valve? :confused:

 

1st was piston 1 hole with cracks N valves bend

2nd was piston 1 hole N break to 3pcs

jetting/Fueling problem or valve (spring)/cam timing problem?

 

cuz the problem will persist regardless of stock bore or big bore...

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

jetting from stock 155 up to 175 or 180 i tik..

spring using aftermarket.

cam aftermarket

considering big bore vs stroker, big bore will definitely last longer due to the lesser stress it exerts on the crankshaft.

when comes to modifications to the stock bike, you need to consider the full package... and not juz do 1 drastic change and hope everything will hold itself together... bear in mind the rest of the bike is designed and built based on stock specs... when you change 1 critical item, all related stuff needs to be change/upgraded...

 

reason why some heavily modded engines fail is due to the stock parts not being able to cope with the increase power/heat output of the engine.. etc.. :cool:

Frankly hor.. bored engine is much more fun in power up.

if the right set-up. shd be fine.

i heard last time theres a zx9 rider.. blow a stock bore..after that. send for big bore.. 7mths later. blow the wisco bore too..

mayb the setup wrong or the rider fault

thanks dude. i think like wat kaeiru said, it is the whole package. but the high fuel consumption of big bore engines is something not very ideal for touring purpose. :cheeky:

hmm, i dont encounter any stalling problem.. any 08 owners have this problem??

I rode up to hatyai and back. the onli prob i got was bike was not powerful enough with the stock echaust..

 

change to two brothers full system lor :cheeky:

Bro, there could be a few reasons for your arms turning numb but I'm quite sure rear sets would not solve your problems. Up til now, I'm still trying to find aftermarket rear sets that is lower and forward compared to the stock rearsets for better comfort. But so far I've seen only racing rear sets that pushes your knees higher and back, forcing you to lean more weight on your arms.

 

You can try to look for handlebar risers, change your grips (BMW grips helped, I know because I'm using them) or change your riding style. What I mean is that I've realised that if I'm travelling at 6th gear, 3500RPM, I get this very irritating vibration on the bars. So I now ride at a higher RPM but lower gearing. Hope it helps!

 

Im keeping RPM at least 4k for the last 1 week cos I tot it was the reason but still the numbness exist..anyway,will try and change the grips and see what happens..:thumb: :thumb:

recently back from a KL trip and my tank still very very full! travelled only 12km leh. how much can i pump if i go in leh? :cheeky:

let me help you. you leave your white Falcon with me for a week. let me diagnose with my expertise on where the problem probably lies. then i give you a full detail report. then from there, you can determine the source of your numbness and act accordingly. :angel: dun worry, i will not charge you a single cent :D

Well, at least now we all know that your numb arms are not caused by the engine RPM. Try changing the grips... one of the cheapest solutions available. I'm not sure if this is right but I have a nagging suspicion that its your sitting posture thats causing all this.
