mind if i ask what is it for??

in my opinion, it doesn't matter what leather care product u use (i use the cheapest leather lotion), its how often u apply it. i do it at least once a month for my bike seat, just to keep the pvc seat soft and prevent cracking and so far it works fine, even for my previous bikes (been doing this for more than 10 years).

they are leather cleaners/protectors. used mainly for leather apparels like riding jacket or pants. i was looking around for some really good stuff when i stumbled upon this one which seems like good quality.

leather master?

mink oil?

i thought of mink oil too. mink oil is really good, BUT only as leather moisturizer and not as a cleaner. hope to get something 2-in-1 so no need to do double job. imagine using a small piece of cloth swirling around your jacket getting it cleaned and you still have to repeat that process for the moisturizer..... just too troublesome la! :cheeky:

Guys, I'm a newbie Busa rider here. Riding a K6 which I just bought it not long ago.

I have some questions and hope someone will enlighten me..

1) When anyone sells their Busa, is the Hump part of the bike and is it supposed to go with the bike? After paying full to the previous owner, and on the day I am supposed to collect the rest of the accessories, he suddenly told me that he had lend the hump to his friend and never got it back.. So NO HUMP FOR ME ???? I feel that I had been short-changed.. Can anyone advise?

2) How much does it cost for an original Hump?

Really appreciate the help...

seriously, i think you are short-changed! the single seater hump should come with the purchase of the bike, just like it is when you buy from bike shops. however, since you have already settled the payment with him, i really doubt you will be able to get him to buy one hump for you or get you any kind of replacement. for that :goodluck:

not too sure about how much the hump will cost, but i ever lost my pillion seat which cost me about $180. so i guess the hump will be around this region or even more. in worst scenario, y2kredbull has a carbon fibre wrapped rear hump for sale. you can PM him to enquire. :thumb:

Last but not least insist the seller who sold the bike to u pay for the seat cowl u bought. Make a big fuss and create a big scene spoiling his reputation if he doesn't.

ya ya! make a big fuss! tell him you will make a police report! even if in the end, he does not pay you for the cowl, you make his name smelly smelly he will also suffer somehow. or maybe can nego with him asking him to pay partial if he refuse to pay full.

Welcome! Warning, joining us is very dangerous! Many here have the highly contagious "mod busa disease"!

look who's talking!! o_O

Protests are already starting liao loh... :giddy:

Oh, good news next, LTA is reducing road tax by 15% from 1st July! I wonder if its because they know that some of us Singaporeans are also affected by the 40% price hike in Malaysia? haha

they deserve it! i think they just want to reduce the fuel subsidy so that their Gahment can have more money for their "other developments" :sian:

I remember reading it somewhere that their Blue and White are reserved for their track based bikes, ie GSXR600/750/1000.

that makes sense. since the white and blue is their race championship winning colour. but they should do it for their FLAGSHIP bike too loh!!

Some query to ask some expert here, what is the advantage of taking out counterbalancer gear?

to what my limited knowledge tells me, main reason is for reduction of weight, since its function is just to reduce the vibrations. have heard it can save about 3kg of weight la. forgive me if my poor memory do fail me. :cheeky:

mink oil on jacket? i won't recommend, i tried it, it'll will seep thru and make your skin oily too.:faint: i'm using 'nikwax- leather restorer' for my leather suit and jacket, and u can get it at Planet Taveller - about $24 for 300ml (quite ex but, if u can get it online cheaper, pls tell me). this item besides restore your leather, it'll make your jacket waterproof too. no need apply cleaner, just use it for cleaning, restoring, waterprooving... i'm using my 2nd bottle already..:thumb:

did you applied the mink oil too generously? i have used mink oil on other leather products but did not experience the kind of problem you had. the mink oil just seems to be absorbed into the leather. however, i have yet to try it on leather jackets or pants.

is this 'nikwax effective in removal of stains? where is this Planet Traveller?
